Address selection

Wild duck farms should be built around perennial rivers, streams or ponds, lakes and reservoirs. It can also be used around ponds, lakes and reservoirs. Ponds and paddy fields can also be transformed and utilized. Courtyard farming can also be carried out. Requirements for selection of wild duck breeding sites:

1. The natural environment is quiet, warm in winter and cool in summer.

2. Leeward to the sun.

3. Good drainage.

4. The ground is flat or slightly sloping to facilitate the discharge of surface water, and factories should be built in hilly areas. The wild duck farm should be built on the sunny side, the wild duck house can get plenty of sunlight, it is well ventilated in summer and can block the wind in winter, which is beneficial to the growth of wild ducks.

5. The soil is sandy or loam.

6. There are open waters nearby. If there is a slope near the water area, the slope is less than 30 degrees, and there are shoals below the slope, then it is ideal to build a factory on this slope. If there is no ready-made water, the ground can be dug manually.

7. no pollution source: it is required that the soil of the site has not been contaminated by infectious diseases or parasitic pathogens in the past.

8. Electricity and transportation are convenient.

Construction plan

The construction of wild duck farms should be determined according to production needs, capital investment, etc. Generally, there should be wild duck houses, wild duck ping, duck beach, water sports grounds and living houses. The wild duck house is the place where ducks live and where eggs are laid. The size of the duck house depends on the number of ducks raised, and the general breeding density is calculated at 2 to 3 ducks per square meter. Duck house is divided into duckling house, breeding duck house and breeding duck house (laying duck house).

1. Duckling house

Mallard ducks require higher house conditions during the rearing period, and the goal is to improve the survival rate of brooding. The duckling house requires sunrise, heat preservation, dryness, good lighting and good ventilation. The ratio of the daylighting area of the window to the floor area of the house is 1: (10-15). The house is divided into small rooms with a size of about 4 square meters, so as to facilitate the breeding of ducklings in small groups and avoid the consequences of crushing and suffocating ducklings. The duckling house requires good heat preservation, swimming, defecation and convenient cleaning.

The duckling house consists of an indoor insulation area and an outdoor sports water playing area. The indoor area is 20-40 square meters, using far-infrared board, flue or hanging tin flue to keep warm. The flue uses coal, the furnace door is opened on the side wall, the furnace extends into the room for full advantage of heat source, the chimney pipe is also built indoors, and the interior of the room is made of inclined cement floor to make two small collecting ditches in the inclined direction, which is easy to dry quickly after washing the ground. On the indoor ground had better use the net board of 1 square meter to spread brooding again. The area of the outdoor sports ground is the same as that of the indoor. The ground is tilted and a width of 1x1 is built at the far end of the playground. A shallow swimming pool with a depth of 5 meters and a depth of 10 to 20 centimeters, allowing ducklings to swim freely in the water or to rest in the sun on the land field, etc., there is a single brick wall with a height of 30 centimeters and 40 centimeters, with drains and walkways above it.

2. Breed a duck house

The conditions required for mallard ducks to grow into duck houses are not high, and they can be relatively simple huts for roosting at night. At the age of 15-70 days, mallard ducks do not have the ability to fly, so they are raised on the ground and do not build Skynet. The ratio of the area of the house to that of the land sports ground and the water sports yard is 1:1:1.

It is easy to build houses on the banks of flowing ditches, lakes and other places. The house can be large or small, but the running water should not be too deep and the water depth should not exceed 1 meter. The floor of the house and the ground of the land sports ground are both concrete and tilted to the water surface, allowing the ducks to enter and leave freely. The general specification is 9 meters long, 4 meters wide and 3.2 meters high. There can be small windows or no windows in the house.

There is no fixed form of internal equipment in the duck house, which can be raised on the Internet, wood grilles or bedding materials, but the entire area occupied by ducks, if all bedding grass is laid, is difficult to keep clean and dry, resulting in a heavy workload. Build a sewerage ditch along the junction of the land sports ground and the water surface, with a depth of 15 cm and a width of 20 cm. The ditch is covered with a grid plate, so that the dung washed and cleaned can flow out of the breeding area along this ditch, so as not to pollute the water field, keep it clean, and reduce the occurrence of disease. The interface between the land field and the water field is repaired into a pebble slope with a width of 2'3 meters and a slope of 20 degrees for the upper and lower ducks. In addition, the wall of the breeding house is 40 cm high, and the land and water fields are fenced with 40 cm high wire welding nets, and the underwater part of the water field is surrounded by nylon fish nets. When the weather is cold or windy, plastic textile cloth can be used to cover and maintain the temperature. If there is no natural water source, the method of building an artificial pool can be adopted. The pool is 60 cm deep, with a supply and drainage channel, a dung ditch beside the pool, convenient water exchange, and clean sewage when changing water. Thoroughly clean the duck dung, feathers and dirt at the bottom of the pool, and carry out disinfection treatment.
