Prevention of vitamin A deficiency in meat ducks

1. At ordinary times, we should pay attention to the diversification of feed, green feed or poultry multivitamin is essential.

2. According to the season and feed source, carrot or carrot tassel is the best in winter and spring, followed by legume green leaves (such as alfalfa, clover, purple yunying, broad bean seedlings, etc.). In summer and autumn, wild aquatic plants such as humilis are the best, followed by green vegetables, pumpkins and so on.

3. Once diseased ducks with vitamin A deficiency are found, feed rich in vitamin A should be added to the diet as soon as possible, such as increasing the proportion of yellow corn in the formula feed, and the feeding of green feed can not be interrupted. It must be noted that vitamin An is a fat-soluble vitamin with poor thermal stability and is easy to be oxidized and invalidated in the process of feed processing, preparation and storage, so feed rancidity, fermentation and heat production should be prevented.
