For the cultivation of succulent plants, I believe many friends have a lot of experience, in addition to its own exquisite appearance brought by the ornamental, and it also has a certain help to the environment. So common succulent plants are planted in ordinary flowerpots and other containers, today I will introduce how to use wood to grow succulent plants, or everyone is confused, read on with this question.

I'm sure everyone will scoff at an abandoned piece of dry wood. In fact, we usually choose dry wood with good water permeability as raw material, and there are many choices of wood, such as dry wood, drifting wood, and even some stumps of suitable shape can be used as containers for succulent plants. The size and shape of the containers can be selected according to their own preferences, but the actual situation must be taken into account. For example, whether the compatibility between plants and wood is good, and so on, this can also save a lot of trouble, otherwise you may have to change the wood several times to complete the cultivation.

After preparing the wood you need, the first thing to do is to rinse the wood thoroughly and remove some stubborn impurities, otherwise it is likely to affect the growth of the plant. In addition, it is also best to go through a certain degree of disinfection, because for most corroded wood, it is unthinkable to contain bacteria. It can also resist all kinds of diseases that may occur in the growth process of compound plants.

Then there is a certain degree of processing of this piece of wood, which can be carved as you like, no matter what your final product is, but there must be certain grooves, because we need to fill a certain amount of soil in it for the rest of the plants, the size of the grooves can be determined according to the size of the plants you cultivate, and the depth should be grasped. Otherwise, the infiltration of water into the wood can easily lead to leakage. At the same time, when processing the wood, make the surrounding scars as smooth as possible, which is more conducive to the smooth development of plants.

After completing the processing of the wood, what needs to be considered is the soil of the plant, because the material of the wood is different, so it may be different when choosing the soil, but the soil we want to choose is the most suitable soil with a little neutral and slightly acidic soil, such a PH value will not do too much harm to the wood, and the degree of corrosion is very low, otherwise the PH value is too high or too low will affect the durability of dry wood. It is very likely that when plants grow, the wood will rot away.

Because the water retention of wood is still good, the watering of plants has to be carried out according to the actual situation. If the wood is relatively dry, it can be watered appropriately. Of course, when the summer weather is hotter, not only more watering is needed, but also the pot plants of succulent plants should be transferred to a cool place to grow.

Finally, I would like to tell you that when choosing dry wood as the container for succulent plants, when adding fertilizer, the fertilizer must be fully diluted before it can be applied, and the amount should be less each time. A large part of the nutrient intake of plants can be done through the soil. Of course, in addition to some of the above attention, there are not many uncertain factors in the actual operation, which need to be improved step by step, so that the desired effect can be planted.
