In order to improve the survival rate of ducklings in the process of duck breeding, we can achieve this by adjusting temperature and humidity, drinking and eating in time, and reasonable density and ventilation. Below, we will introduce these three measures in detail.

Regulation of temperature and humidity

The ability of temperature regulation of ducklings is poor, when the ambient temperature is lower than 26 ℃, it is easy to induce respiratory diseases or die from extrusion, while ducklings with high temperature are easy to be caused by dehydration. The most suitable temperature for brooding was 31-29 ℃ in the first week, and then decreased by 1-2 ℃ per week. The relative humidity of the air in the house during the brooding period is 60%-70%.

Drink and eat in time

24 hours after the duckling comes out of its shell, it is necessary to drink water before eating. Ducklings should be quiet before drinking water. The water temperature is 30 ℃. 2000 units of gentamicin are added to each duck. Half an hour later, drink 50% glucose and 0.1% vitamin C water to clean the stomach and intestines of ducklings and eliminate meconium. Drink cold boiled water after 5 hours. At ordinary times, drinking water should be kept clean and fully supplied. After the ducklings drink water, they will have the performance of eating, and they can eat at this time. Feed should be fed at a fixed time, fixed quality, fixed point, diligent inspection and observation, so as to form a fixed management procedure.

Reasonable density and ventilation

The suitable density of rearing ducklings in spring is as follows: 30 ducklings per square meter at the age of 2 weeks, 25 ducklings per square meter at the age of 4 weeks, 15 ducklings per square meter at the age of 5 weeks and 12 ducks per square meter at the age of more than 6 weeks. At rest, ducklings often pile up and sleep. If the temperature is on the low side, the heap squeeze is more serious, which is easy to cause death, injury or "sweating" to catch cold. Once the phenomenon of pile squeezing is found, immediately dispel it, adjust the temperature, and replace the wet mat grass. When there are a large number of ducklings, they should be raised in groups. Each flock of ducklings should be 250 to 300 ducklings to separate the ducklings with great disparity in size and strength. Every day around noon, when the sun is full, open the doors and windows for air, in order to improve the environment in the house.
