Goose cholera is becoming more and more serious in our country, and many farmers ignore prevention and treatment, resulting in serious losses. Acute septic infectious diseases caused by Pasteurella multocida are generally susceptible to breeding geese and adult geese over 2 months old, but goslings are also infected. More septicemia changes occurred in this disease, showing severe dysentery, untimely mortality of more than 80% and 95%, and destruction losses are not uncommon.

Goose cholera symptoms

1. The most acute type: most of them occur in the early stage of the epidemic, with almost no symptoms and sudden death. sometimes the geese seem to be very normal, eating and drinking very well during the day, but they are found to die in the house the next day, and some suddenly fall to the ground and flutter their wings a few times.

2. Acute type: the symptoms are typical, the body temperature is 43-44 ℃, the appetite decreases or does not eat, the appetite increases, the spirit is depressed, the neck closes the eyes, the feathers are loose, stand apart from the group, there are often severe diarrhea, yellow-green or gray-white feces, breathing difficulties, coma and death in the later stage, the course of disease ranges from half a day to 3 days, and the mortality rate is more than 80%.

3. Chronic type: most of them come from acute transformation, showing chronic inflammation of respiratory tract and digestive tract, emaciation, anemia, enlargement of paranasal sinuses, joint inflammation, swelling, lameness, and often lying on the ground. The course of the disease can reach several weeks, and the mortality rate is not high, but the development is hindered and the production capacity is reduced.

Prevention of Cholera in Goose

1. Always keep the goose house dry, ventilated and breathable, and change to sun-dried bedding every 3-5 days.

2. Do a good job of cold prevention and cooling in case of sudden climate change.

3. Feed supply should not change suddenly, and vitamins and minerals should meet the needs of growth and development.

4. Water fountains and grains are washed with 2% sodium hydroxide solution every day and then washed with clean water. Goose houses, floors and utensils should be cleaned and sterilized with 5% lime water or 1% bleach solution.

5. when diseased geese are found to be isolated, treated and disinfected in goose houses, the bodies of diseased geese should be deeply buried in time and strictly disinfected.

6. Dilute 1010 attenuated avian cholera vaccine with water according to the instructions for use, then provide more points for geese to drink or mix the drinking water with appropriate amount of cornmeal to make gruel, so that the geese can finish eating within 2 hours, and the immunity period can reach 8 months.

7. After VC attenuated avian cholera virus freeze-dried vaccine was diluted with aluminum glue, 0.5 × 1 ml was injected subcutaneously into the neck of each goose, which was repeated after two weeks, and the immunity period was up to 3 months.

8. During emergency prevention and treatment, anti-fowl cholera hyperimmune serum was injected subcutaneously with 3-5ml, repeated once every other day, which has the effect of prevention and early treatment.

Goose cholera treatment

1. 10% sulfadiazine can be injected intramuscularly, 0.5 × 1 ml per kilogram, twice a day, for 2 or 3 days, and the curative effect is more than 95%.

2. Sulfamethazine powder was fed with 0.5%-1% mixed feed for 5-7 days, and the effect was remarkable.

3. Dimethoprim was fed with 0.3% 0.5% dimethoprim for 5-7 days.

4. Penicillin 5 ~ 100000 units intramuscular injection, 2-3 times a day for 3-4 days, the curative effect was more than 85%.

5. Streptomycin 10 ~ 200000 units was injected intramuscularly 2-3 times a day for 3-4 days.

6. Oxytetracycline powder was mixed with 0.05% 0.1% oxytetracycline powder, or 0.15 × 0.3 grams per goose per day for 2 days, or 25 mg of oxytetracycline per kilogram intramuscularly twice a day for 2 days. The curative effect was more than 96%.

7. 60 grams of wild chrysanthemum, 15 grams of gypsum, boiled with 250 ml of water, 2 tablespoons per goose at a time after cooling, 3 times a day for 2 to 3 days, the curative effect can reach more than 90%. If 50% of the water is often drunk by geese, the disease can be prevented.

8. Add an appropriate amount of lukewarm water to each feather, 2 grams per feather, 3 times a day for 2 to 3 days, with good results. It can also be fed with 2 grams of mixed feed per feather for 3 days.

9. Huo Xiang 30g, Rhubarb 30g, Rhubarb 30g, Rhizoma Atractylodis 50g, Scutellaria baicalensis 30g, Wumei 60g, Magnolia 60g, Huangmei 30g, Radix Isatidis 80g. Except for rhubarb and Wumei, the rest of the medicine was studied and then mixed with feed, 2 grams per feather, twice a day for 2 to 3 days, and the curative effect was more than 95%. If you use rhubarb at the beginning of the disease, you don't need Wumei. If you find that diarrhea has passed 3 days, use Wumei instead of rhubarb.

10. After the garlic, big green leaf and motherwort are fried in water, the garlic is mashed into mud and fed together with the dregs, one dose a day, one dose in the morning and evening for 3 ~ 5 days, and the curative effect is more than 96%. ⑾ andrographis paniculata dry product 90%, chicken gold (dry) 8%, licorice (dry) 2%, a total of drying crushed into the end, goose each feather 1g 2g, adult goose 2g irrigated or mixed feed, twice a day for 2 days.
