The goose house should be warm in winter and cool in summer, sunny, well-ventilated, economical and durable. Although geese are waterfowl, they avoid dampness in their habitat, especially goslings. The goose house is required to sit north and face south and be built on a dry, well-drained sandy loam. Let's take a look at the construction requirements of the goose house.

Nursery house

Goslings are required to be warm and dry before they are 20 days old. The nursery is suitable for holding 600,800 goslings, the eaves are 2 meters high, and the window and ground are in the ratio of 10 to 15. It is divided into several rearing rooms, each with an area of 20 to 30 square meters, which can accommodate 100 goslings under 20 days of age. The floor inside the house is 2530 cm higher than that outside the house, and the ground is dry. A feeding yard is set up in front of the house, which is flat and inclined, which is beneficial to drainage. The feeding yard is 3.5 to 5 meters above the water.

Fattening house

The house is equipped with scaffolding, divided into single-row or double-row. Bamboo can be used on all sides to form a fence, the wall is 65 centimeters high, and the distance between each bamboo is 5.5 to 6 centimeters, with the goose stretching its head to feed and drink. The double-row fattening shed can set up drinking water trough in the south and north, which is 20 cm wide and 12 cm high. There are channels in the middle of the goose house, with feed grooves on both sides, with a width of 30 cm on the top, a width of 24 cm under the trough and a height of 23 cm. The scaffolding is more than 70 centimeters above the ground. The bottom of the shed is made of bamboo, and the pores between the bamboos are about 3 cm to facilitate defecation. The fattening shed is divided into several small columns, each with a column of 12 square meters, which can hold 70 to 80 medium fat geese.

Breeding goose house

It is advisable to have no more than 400 breeding geese per house. The eaves of the goose house are 1.8 square meters high, and the ratio of the window to the ground is 12. The ground inside the house is 10 centimeters above the ground outside the house. Each square meter can raise 2 birds and 2.5 geese. There is an egg laying room in the corner of the goose house, surrounded by 60 cm high bamboo, with 2 or 3 small doors, plank and straw on the floor. There is a playground and water outside.
