Goose fatty liver is delicate in texture, unique in taste and rich in nutrition. Fatty liver contains a lot of unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins that are beneficial to the human body, which are most suitable for children and the elderly. it is one of the most precious and best-selling nutritional products in the international market, attracting consumers from all rich countries and regions. the market prospect is very broad, Xiaobian is here to introduce the breeding technology of high-quality goose fat liver goose.

Breed selection of Fatty liver Goose

Variety is one of the important factors affecting the production of fatty liver. The performance of fatty liver varies greatly among different goose breeds, and not all geese can produce fatty liver. For example, the small geese in our country mainly lay eggs, but the performance of fatty liver is very poor, so it is not suitable to produce fatty liver. There are large goose breeds such as Lion head Goose, which can be used in the production of fatty liver, with an average fatty liver weight of 600g, with a maximum of 1400 grams, and a world-famous French Lande goose with an average fatty liver weight of 836g and a maximum of 1780 grams. Although the liver production performance of the above-mentioned geese is good, the reproductive performance is very poor, so using heterosis to cultivate meat liver wool and high yield matching lines to produce fatty liver is an effective way to improve the production level of fatty liver. Therefore, in order to produce goose fatty liver, in addition to selecting special varieties of fatty liver, it is necessary to buy cross-bred high-yield matching lines for the production of fatty liver from goose breeding farms.

Feed for producing fatty liver geese

Studies have proved that corn is the most ideal high-energy feed, and the analysis results show that each kilogram of corn contains about 400 mg of choline and 0.25% of phosphorus, which is lower than other high-energy feed. Because choline can maintain normal liver function in animals, it contributes to the transfer of fat in the liver, prevents fat from depositing too much in the liver, and plays a role in protecting the liver. Therefore, the higher the choline content in the feed, the more it can prevent the accumulation of fat in the liver and affect the fattening effect. In addition, corn due to low choline content, poor liver protection, so fat is easy to deposit to form fatty liver. Therefore, using corn as fatty liver feed, the average weight of fatty liver is 20%, 45% higher than that of any other high-energy feed, and it is the preferred feed for the production of fatty liver at home and abroad.

When using corn as filling feed, corn kernels should be used instead of crushed corn, because the crushed corn has many voids and large volume, which affects the amount of filling. In order to increase the amount of filling and the weight of fatty liver, corn kernels must be used in the material type.

There are three processing methods of corn kernels, namely, boiling method, dry stir-frying method and soaking method. Compared with the three methods, the boiling method is the most suitable. Pour the selected dried corn (preferably with smaller grains) into a boiling pot, make the water surface 10 cm above the corn, boil for 8 minutes, remove and drain and mix 2% animal fat while it is hot. Add 0.5% salt, 0.02% multivitamins and appropriate trace element additives and corn can be fully mixed.

Feeding and management in pre-feeding period

The goose must be pre-fed for 3 weeks before filling. Through pre-feeding, the goose can further grow and develop, enhance its physique, increase the uniformity of fatty liver and improve the quality of fatty liver. At the same time, through pre-feeding to exercise the digestive ability of geese, let geese eat a lot of feed, so that the digestive tract is dilated and soft, so as to bear a large amount of feed when forced packing. In the early stage of pre-feeding, the full-price compound feed could be fed, and after 10 days, the compound feed gradually decreased and the corn kernel content increased. Corn kernels were basically fed in the later stage of pre-feeding in order to adapt to the filling period. It should be emphasized here that more green feed should be fed as much as possible in pre-feeding period to increase the capacity of digestive tract.

Before the beginning of pre-feeding, the geese should be protected against epidemic and deworming and house feeding, and the geese can be grazed once every morning and afternoon. The goose house should be clean, flat, dry and quiet. 2.5 birds per square meter of ground, with adequate and clean water supply. Grazing should be stopped 3 days before the end of the pre-feeding period.

Feeding and management during filling period

The feeding and management during the filling period is one of the most important links in the production process of goose fatty liver. The operation technology of packing, the mastery of the amount of filling each time and the length of filling period will affect the quality and weight gain of fatty liver differently. Before filling, the geese are installed in a special cage. According to the specifications of the cage, there are generally 6 geese per cage, and a special filling machine is used for filling. Fill 4 times a day, that is, 8 o'clock, 14:00, 20:00, 2 o'clock, the filling amount can be flexibly mastered according to the variety and size, the filling amount is insufficient, which affects the weight gain of the fatty liver, and the excessive amount of filling is easy to accumulate food, resulting in remnants, so touch the inflated part before each filling. If the feed has been digested, it means that the digestive ability is good, and the amount of filling can be increased next time. However, the goose throat esophagus is relatively narrow, intubation in addition to oil on the tube, but also take special care to prevent damage to the esophagus. After the tube is inserted into the esophagus, the left hand is fixed on the beak of the head, and the foot steps on the starter, and the corn kernels are pushed to the inflated part with the operation of the screw thruster. The filler gently pushes the corn kernels down with his right hand, and then step on the starter. Push the corn kernels again until they are filled. Generally speaking, the filling period is about 3 weeks, depending on the performance of the goose. If the stuffed goose has dull eyes, listless spirit, shortness of breath, damp and messy feathers, fat body, sagging abdomen, inactivity, or even paralysis, dyspepsia symptoms such as accumulated food and diarrhea indicate that the fatty liver has matured, and the liver should be slaughtered in time.
