What are the common egg goose breeds?

Female geese are called egg geese from the beginning of laying to elimination. Small geese are commonly used egg geese, such as Huoyan goose, seed goose, black mane goose, Yangjiang goose and so on. These geese have the characteristics of light and small body, beautiful head, slender neck, longer legs and high egg production. The characteristics of these egg geese are introduced as follows:

Wide-eyed goose

Huoyan goose, which originated in Laiyang, Shandong Province, is the most productive small white goose in China.

1. Adult weight. The adult male goose is 4.5 kg and the female goose is 2.5 kg and 3.5 kg. In the feeding mode supplemented by grazing, the body weight was 1.4-1.8 kg in 60 days and 2.9-3.4 kg in 120-140 days.

2. Slaughter performance. The fully eviscerated rate of male geese is 70% 72%, the semi-eviscerated rate is 78% 81%, and the fully eviscerated rate of goose is 69% 71%, and the semi-eviscerated rate is 75% 81%.

3. Egg laying performance. At the age of 6 ~ 7 months, it lays about 100 eggs a year, weighs 125g and has a white eggshell.

4. Reproductive performance. The fertilization rate of breeding eggs is 85%, the hatching rate of fertilized eggs is 800.85%, and the survival rate of brooding is 92%.

Seed goose

The seed goose is native to Songnen Plain in Heilongjiang Province, with small size and white feathers all over the body.

1. Adult weight: the adult weight is 4.23 kg for males and 3.41 kg for females.

2. Slaughtering performance: the semi-eviscerated rate is 82% and the eviscerated rate is 72%.

3. Egg laying performance: it begins to lay at the age of 6 months, and produces about 100 eggs a year. The average egg weight is 131 grams and the eggshell is white.

4. Reproductive performance: there is no nesting in goose. The mating ratio of male to female is 1: 1: 5: 7, and there is no nesting property.

Black bristle goose

The black mane goose is native to Qingyuan County, Guangdong Province. It is also known as Qingyuan black mane goose because of its dark brown mane feathers on the back of the neck. The feathers on both sides of the neck, chest and abdomen are white, and the wing feathers, shoulder feathers, back feathers and tail feathers are black.

1. Adult weight. It is 3-3.5 kg for male geese and 2.5-3 kg for female geese. The 70-day-old weight was 2.9 kg, the 90-day-old weight was 3.2 kg, and the meat-to-feed ratio was 1.15 2.31.

2. Slaughter performance. The eviscerated rate and semi-eviscerated rate are about 87.4% and 77.4%, respectively.

3. Egg laying performance. The female goose is about 140 days old and lays 29 eggs a year, with an average egg weight of 147 grams.

4. Reproductive performance. The fertilization rate of breeding eggs is 87.7%, the hatching rate of fertilized eggs is 92.5%, and the survival rate of goslings is 84.9%. The female goose has a strong nesting nature, nesting 4 times a year, and the breeding period is 5-6 years.

Yangjiang goose

Yangjiang goose originated in Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, with a brown feather belt from the top of the head to the back of the neck, which is similar to horse mane, so it is called yellow bristle goose. The whole body feathers are tight, and the back, wings and tail are brown and gray. Beak, sarcoma black, shin, webbed orange-yellow.

1. Adult weight. 4050 grams for males and 3120 grams for females.

2. Slaughter performance. The semi-clean chamber of 9-week-old male geese is 82.23%, and the full clean chamber is 74.10%. The semi-clean chamber of the goose is 82.00%, and the full clean chamber is 72.91%.

3. Egg laying performance. The age of starting production is about 150-160 days. The annual egg production is 26, the average egg weight is 141g, the eggshell is white and the egg shape index is 1.4.

4. Reproductive performance. The male-female mating ratio is 1: 5: 6, and the fertilization rate of breeding eggs is 84%.
