Common fattening techniques of geese
After the main wing feathers grow out, the Chinese geese turn to the fattening period. The medium goose raised mainly by grazing has a large shelf, but the chest muscle is not plump, the fatness is not enough, and the meat yield is low, slightly with the smell of grass. Therefore, it is necessary to improve meat quality, increase fatness and increase meat yield through short-term fattening. There are several ways to fatten geese:
Grazing fattening method
Grazing and fattening is the most economical fattening method, which is widely used in rural areas. The main purpose of this paper is to fatten the residual wheat grains and residual rice plants in the stubble land after harvest. Grazing and fattening must fully grasp the harvest season of local crops, raise chicks in advance, and work out a good plan for grazing and fattening. For example, from precocious barley to wheat stubble fields, the geese have fattened and can be sold as soon as possible with the morning and evening grazing in each area. As soon as grazing in the stubble is over, a large amount of concentrate must be used to maintain the fatness, otherwise the geese will lose weight. The same is true of grazing in rice fields.
House feeding fattening method
The house fattening method is more suitable for short-term fattening of food purchasing departments, professional households and sellers. In a fattening house with dim light, limit the exercise of geese, feed grain seeds or root tubers rich in carbohydrates 3 to 4 times a day to quickly deposit fat in the body, while providing adequate drinking water to increase appetite and help digestion. Can be slaughtered after half a month or so.
Filling fattening method
The method of filling goose is similar to that of duck, this method can shorten the fattening period, and the fattening effect is good, but it is more troublesome. The filling and fattening method is divided into manual fattening method and machine fattening method. Manual fattening method, the Shitou goose fattening more, the powder (preferably corn meal) mixed into a strip food ball, and then slightly steamed to make it produce a certain hardness, using a forced method to stuff the food ball into the goose's esophagus, fill it 3-4 times a day, fill it in a quiet house for rest, after about 10 days of filling, the body fat increases, the meat is tender and delicious. The machine filling method does not use corn meal, but uses corn kernels after soaking and expanding. The corn is first soaked in water (1% to 1.5% of the amount of corn salt is dissolved in the water), boiled before filling, fished out while it is hot, mixed with oil and additives, and can be fed.
