(Taiwan Business Daily News) the Taichung City Information Bureau compiled the published "Reading Taichung" staff image column into a volume, including 21 employees in different fields, and issued a special book "unique skills-Images of Taichung staff" to market and record the precious traditional skills of Taichung craftsmen.

Vice Mayor Tsai Bingkun highly praised the dedication of each staff member in craftsmanship, which also means that Taichung is by no means a false reputation as a cultural city, and he believes that this book will be a hit.

This book records the unique skills of 21 workers of different traditional crafts-images of Taichung staff. Yesterday (13), a press conference on a new book was held at the municipal building on Taiwan Avenue, and nearly 20 staff members were invited to show many traditional crafts that have been rarely seen. Quite eye-catching.

The 21 traditional crafts are divided into ancient furniture, unique arts and musical instruments, such as quilts made by traditional "playing cotton", "seals" made by wood carvings, hoes and knives from Nantun plough shops, hand-made violins, carefully carved puppets, hand-made incense and animal gifts for worship and etiquette. In the face of social changes, it has been quite difficult to see these crafts. Lin Dianwei, who does not know how to play the violin but successfully sells Italian handmade violins without a teacher, is highly praised by Vice Mayor Cai. Vice Mayor Cai also played the violin on the spot and received warm applause.

Lin Dianwei said that although he can't play the piano, he likes music and has always hoped to combine it with classical music, so he is looking for information bit by bit. He has also visited many precious violins at the Chimei Museum, and he is very happy to have successfully created violins that can be sold abroad.

The handmade quilt worker Cotrigen also picked up a cotton bow to demonstrate the skill of bouncing quilts on the spot, and the cotton quilt that popped up instantly also filled the air. In fact, making quilts is not difficult, but it takes a lot of energy and patience, he says. Although manual quilts can only produce two or three pieces a day, slow workers can do fine work, which makes people cherish the value of pure handwork.
