As an old saying goes in our country, if you want to do good work, you must first sharpen its tools, so you should also be equipped with relevant breeding equipment before rabbit breeding, so that you can carry out follow-up breeding work, and the rabbit breeding equipment required in different growth stages is also different. Let's take a look at what rabbit breeding equipment has!

Rabbit feeding trough

It is suggested that all rabbit breeding should adopt an external sealing automatic feeding trough, which hangs on the cage door, and the rabbit's head extends from the cage mouth into the food trough when feeding, which can effectively prevent pickling and feed pollution, and can also prevent young rabbits from drilling out of the mouth. The feed trough is composed of a feeding port, a storage bin, a feeding trough and a partition, which is very convenient to feed outside the cage and easy to operate.

Rabbit cage classification

1. Rabbit cage: the rabbit cage is larger, with a length of 70 cm, a width of 70 cm, a height of 45 cm in front and a height of 35 cm in the back. The distance between the bottom plate of the cage and the dung-bearing plate, 10cm in front and 18cm in the back. It is best to be cement board or brick, if it is woven with wire, the gap should not be more than 2 cm, so that the rabbit can not be drilled out.

2. Young rabbit cage: young rabbits are put into the cage after weaning and vaccination. Generally speaking, the cages of young rabbits are arranged horizontally in a whole row of wire cages, each 30 cm long, with a gap between them. The width of the cage is 40 cm, the front height is 35 cm and the rear height is 25 cm. A row of sealed troughs are hung in front of the cage, and the young rabbits can put their head into the hole at any time to feed. The cage door should be very convenient to open. There is a common grass rack between the two cages, and two duckbill automatic drinking fountains are installed at the back of each cage. It is appropriate to put 3 or 4 young rabbits in each cage.

3. Fattening cage: after the young rabbit has grown to 1.5kg, it should be transferred to the fattening cage in time.

Rabbit cage design

1. Rabbit cage wall: the cage wall made of cement board requires smooth surface, no moisture absorption, no water storage, and no burr if it is a wire cage.

2. Rabbit cage roof: rabbit cage roof is required to protect against heat and cold. The fixing cage can be made of cement board. The top of the wire cage is generally used as a dung-bearing plate, which requires complete coverage and no water leakage in each layer, especially the joint between the cage and the cage.

3. The cage floor: the cage floor is the key part of the rabbit cage, and the best cage floor is the front plate and the back seam type, that is, the first 2 big 3 of the cage floor is a colloid board, and the latter one is a leaky bamboo board. the advantage of this kind of cage bottom is that it can not only effectively prevent the occurrence of foot dermatitis, but also effectively control the hygiene in the cage.

4. Dung-bearing plate: the dung-bearing plate is generally installed under the bottom of the cage, which mainly plays the role of receiving dung and urine, there are two kinds of plane and cement tile shape, which are inclined to form a slope from the front direction of the rabbit cage during installation, so as to facilitate the fecal and urine flow backward and flow into the dung and urine ditch. The requirement for the dung-bearing plate is that the coverage before and after the left and right side should be strict, there should be no gap between the upper and lower layers, and there should be a certain distance between the cage floor and the bottom plate.

5. Cage door: the key to the setting of cage door is convenient opening and closing, tight closing, and easy to operate after opening. The height of the cage door should be basically level with the height of the cage, and the width is generally about 30 cm.

Rabbit drinking fountain

The rabbit drinking fountain suggests using a pure water bottle to hang the water supply system connected to the duck-billed water fountain, that is, the pure water bottle on the household water dispenser is hung upside down on the top of the rabbit cage, and the bottle mouth is connected with a plastic pipe connected to multiple drinking fountains, which is installed at the back of each rabbit cage.

Rabbit litter box

The litter box is the main facility for female rabbits to give birth and reproduce in an artificially simulated cave environment. The warmth, ventilation, size and shape of the delivery box, the mat grass in the production box and the location of the production box all have a great impact on the survival rate and development of young rabbits. It is suggested that we all adopt sealed or cave birth box.

Rabbit grass rack

The grass rack is the main utensils for rabbits to feed on green fodder or coarse fodder. if it is an iron wire cage, it is recommended that the grass be set up in the middle and upper part of the two cages, and if it is a fixed plate rabbit cage, the grass can be set up above the food trough on the outside of the cage door. in order to prevent forage grass from falling through the outer gap of the grass rack, the outer wire of the grass rack can be encrypted or made of iron or wood.

Fecal and urine separation sewerage system

The separation of feces and urine is a very important part of the sewerage system. The advantage of the separation of feces and urine is that it can greatly reduce the concentration of ammonia in the rabbit house and reduce the stimulation to the rabbit mucosa so as to control the occurrence of infectious rhinitis and respiratory tract inflammation.
