Visually impaired friends can take the ride with coupons and multiple handicap manuals with moderate or above visual impairment, benefiting 3600 eligible visually impaired friends, making Taichung City a 'loving city without hindrance to friendliness'.

It shows that this measure is subsidized by the public welfare lottery surplus allocation fund, combined with five excellent taxi fleets, including New Taichung, Yonglong, Guotong, Flying Dog and Taiwan large fleets.

Hsu Chung-hsiung, deputy mayor of Taichung, said that it was initially estimated that NT $13.5 million would be needed this year, but at present NT $9 million has been allocated, and Mayor Hu Zhiqiang has also instructed that the reserve fund will be used to support it.

Chen Kuantu, taxi manager of Flying Dog, said that when people with visual impairment call a taxi by phone, they can first explain the waiting place and characteristics, wait by the roadside as far as possible, and the driver will get off the service so that the visually impaired can get on the bus safely. In addition, over the past 10 years or so, Flying Dog has been encouraging taxi drivers to serve disabled friends, subsidizing drivers 20 yuan per trip, and drivers are also happy to serve disabled friends.

Taichung City Social Bureau said that visually impaired friends who hold the "Manual on multiple Disabilities with moderate or moderate Visual impairment (Certificate)" can fill out an application form at the public office where they are registered from June 10. after checking the physical and mental disability manual (certificate), national identity card and returning the "respect and Care for the elderly" ride card (free if no payment), the public office can issue 1000 yuan in monthly coupons on behalf of the public office.

In addition, when taking a taxi reservation, the visually impaired will charge the fare according to the mileage jump meter, and the visually impaired will pay with the ticket (the person with visual impairment pays for the excess of the coupon). And remind the visually impaired to take the physical and mental disability manual (certificate) with you to check your identity.
