Xinbei City Crescent Bridge opens the most leisurely tour of Xinbanbai Temple

(Taiwan Business Daily News) the Crescent Bridge, which connects Banqiao 435 Art Zone and Xinzhuang Old Street, was opened last week for pedestrians and bicycles only. New Taipei City launched a "Crescent Bridge" bicycle tour of the temple, allowing people to walk through Banqiao and Xinzhuang temples by bike.

Jiang Junting, director of civil affairs of New Taipei City, said that there are many well-known ancient temples in Xinzhuang and Banqiao districts, which are very suitable to use "BIKE" as "worshippers" for ancient temples. For example, the convoy can gather at the "Ciyou Palace" in Xinzhuang Old Street, visit "Wusheng Temple", "Chaojiang Temple" and "Fu de Temple" along the way, and then go to Banqiao from the entrance of the Crescent Bridge next to "Cihui Hall". When you get to Banqiao, you can ride to Chaohe Palace, Baoan Palace, Tien Hou Palace and other temples near Zicui Station of the MRT River to pray for blessings.

At the Xinzhuang end of the Crescent Bridge, the Xinzhuang Ciyou Palace, a historic site in the city, has a history of more than 300 years, and the history of building the temple is longer than that of the Longshan Temple in Taipei, and it is the belief center of many Xinzhuang people. Ciyou Palace is of great artistic value, whether it is a carved dragon painting building or a temple building. The temple also has plaques, ancient monuments and woodcut couplets of Qianlong, Jiaqing and Qing dynasties, all of which are the focus of appreciation.

In addition, Xinzhuang Wusheng Temple, which is also a city-designated monument in Xinzhuang Old Street, was founded in the 25th year of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1760). It is the earliest martial temple in northern Taiwan. The appearance of the temple is magnificent. Standing outside the temple, you can see the gate characteristics of the general Guandi Temple. Because Guan Shengdi himself has excellent martial arts, there is no door god, so there are 108 door nails, representing 36 days plough and 72 evil spirits.

At the end of Banqiao, the statues of the gods of Chaohe Palace and Baoan Palace are not ordinary wood carvings, but porcelain clay sculptures. It is said that when the Chaohe Palace was built in 1979, it was necessary to reshape a larger size because the temple expanded the deity. The temple asked the gods to direct the sculpture of the deity. At that time, the gods instructed the "earthen sculpture."
