The temperature in spring is low, Monopterus Albus does not eat, and its growth is slow. How to feed and manage Monopterus Albus early in spring is the key to increase the production and income of Monopterus Albus. According to the characteristics of low temperature and little light in early spring, the following measures should be taken to promote the early feeding of ricefield eel.

Pay attention to heat preservation

Monopterus Albus seldom comes out of the hole because of the low temperature in early spring. In artificial culture, it is necessary to do a good job of heat preservation to increase the temperature of the small environment in the eel pond in order to make Monopterus Albus come out of the hole to find food. If the area of the eel pond is small, miscellaneous wood and bamboo can be used to make a simple support on the eel pond, and the frame can be covered with drip-free plastic film or general agricultural film (preferably without drip film). In windy or low temperature weather, the film is covered day and night; when there is no wind, the film can be slightly uncovered at noon for ventilation; when there is sun, the film can be exposed at noon to allow the eel pond to store heat and the aquatic plants in the pond to fully carry out photosynthesis.

Appropriate warming

In early spring, the eel pond generally uses deep-well groundwater because its water temperature is generally above 10 ℃. Warm spring water can be used where there are hot springs, and factory cooling water can be used near the factory. Each change of water is 1 pound 2, usually once every 5-7 days. However, it should be noted that the water temperature should not be more than 3 ℃ higher than that of the eel pond. If the water temperature is too high, it can be introduced into the reservoir for a period of time and then replaced after reaching the required water temperature.

Put in the bait

Monopterus Albus begins to eat in early spring, and all the baits are fresh. The best bait is live earthworm, followed by yellow powder worm, field snail, clam meat and so on. Using fresh bait can quickly adjust the appetite and restore the physical strength of Monopterus Albus. Generally, when the live bait is fed for about a week, Monopterus Albus can be gradually poured out, and then it is better to use it all over the mud ridge, but the amount should not be too much. If it is found that there is any food left in the pool the next day, the amount of feed should be reduced; if the food is eaten up, the amount of feed should be increased appropriately. When Monopterus Albus comes out to eat in large quantities, it should be fed on the table at a fixed point.
