With the adjustment of the aquaculture structure, ricefield eel farming is more and more recognized by the majority of farmers. After Fan Ji Town, Gao Yang Chunshui transformed the waste river pond behind his house and set up a cage to raise ricefield eel. He does not have to go out to work at home to earn a double income and grow his own farmland. In 2009, he made 100 cages of nearly 900 square meters for raising Monopterus Albus and purchasing Monopterus Albus with seasonal price difference. In early November, all the Monopterus Albus in the cage were caught and listed (about 400 kg of 500 grams, 700 kg of 250 grams and 900 kg of 200 grams) with an output value of 80,000 yuan and a net profit of 40,000 yuan. The main technical points are as follows:

Culture preparation

Raising rice field eel in a cage in the river is generally 20-100 square meters, which is too large to be managed. Disinfect it thoroughly with quicklime or drifting powder about 10 days before putting rice field eel seedlings.

Seed and seedling selection

The seedling is the key to select the variety of rice field eel, and the seedling is the key to the success of raising rice field eel. The seedlings of rice field eel are best cultivated and domesticated by deep yellow large spot eel or golden small spot eel. These varieties have fast growth, strong resistance to disease, can not use mixed-color eel seedlings and those that have not passed domestication, the appropriate size of rice field eel seedlings is 50-80 eels per kilogram, the feeding ability is too small, and the survival rate is low. At the same time, the size should be raised separately to prevent each other from killing each other when the feed is insufficient. The stocking density is generally 1-1.5 kg per square meter.

Feed

After the seedlings of Monopterus Albus are put into the cage, do not feed the rice field eel for the first 3 days to adapt to the environment. Domesticate and feed the rice field eel from the 4th day. The feed is the best at about 7: 00 p. M. every day. The feed for raising rice field eel in the cage is mainly rice field eel special formula feed, but in order to reduce the cost, some broken snails, earthworms and yellow powder insects can be fed.

Culture management

The growing season of Monopterus Albus is from April to October, in which the peak season is from May to September. During this period, the management is "diligent" and "fine", and the eating situation, growth status and holes in the cage are carefully observed, so that corresponding measures can be taken in time. The habit of Monopterus Albus is to go out day and night, keep the water fresh and the water level is suitable, and put water peanuts or water floating lotus in the cage. Sunshade in summer is also easy to avoid enemy harm and breeding habits.

Disease prevention and treatment

Pay attention to the prevention and control of rice field eel disease, once the disease of rice field eel general treatment effect is not ideal, there must be no disease prevention, early treatment, often use drifting powder, copper sulfate and other drugs to prevent diseases.
