At present, many farmers use cages to cultivate ricefield eel. Cage culture reduces the cost of ricefield eel farmers, and the economic benefit of culture is much higher than that of traditional cement ponds. Here we briefly introduce the cage erection method of Monopterus Albus farm.

The material for making the cage is made of polyethylene non-nodular 36-mesh mesh, the diameter of the upper and lower wire rope of the cage is 3 mm, and the net piece is spliced to grow a square cage with a specification of 3 meters × 2 meters, with eaves 6 cm wide extending around the top of the cage mouth.

The cage should be placed in water with a depth of more than 1.2 meters, and the water level of cultivated ricefield eel should be kept at about 40-60 cm.

Aquatic plants can be used, such as water hyacinth, water peanut and so on.
