Pond construction

Choose shelter from the wind to the sun, convenient entry and drainage, weak alkaline substrate, no pesticide pollution to build the pool, the area is generally about 1000 square meters. The ridges of the fields should be reinforced and buried with mesh or plastic sheeting to prevent Loach from drilling and escaping. Net bars are installed at the inlet and outlet, and a number of pits with an area of 5 square meters and a depth of more than 60 centimeters are excavated in the field, preferably with bricks. Connected with the pit, several trenches were excavated, with a width and depth of 30cm to 40cm, and the area of the pit and ditch accounted for about 10% of the total area of the lotus root field, which was used as a habitat for Loach during high temperature in summer, application of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, and drying of lotus root fields, and at the same time, it was convenient for centralized fishing.

Cultivating water and sowing seeds

The lotus root pond was cleaned and disinfected according to the seedling cultivation method, the water depth was kept at 30cm to 50cm, and organic fertilizer such as pig manure was applied to cultivate water quality, with a dosage of 100kg to 200kg per mu. After the medicine disappears and the pond water turns into fertilizer, the species of Loach can be released. The stocking density of 3cm long Loach species is 1530 fish per square meter, and those with running water conditions can be increased appropriately.

Feeding and management

On the basis of improving water quality and providing natural bait, it is necessary to increase the feeding of animal feed such as maggots, earthworms, clam meat, fish meal, small mixed fish meat, livestock and poultry scraps, as well as plant feed such as wheat bran, rice bran, bean dregs, cakes, or artificial compound feed. It is generally fed once a day in the morning and once in the afternoon, and the daily feeding amount is 5% to 10% of the body weight of Loach. Feeding should be flexibly controlled according to water quality, weather and food intake. The appetite of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus increased gradually when the water temperature was above 15 ℃. The optimum temperature for feeding was 20-30 ℃, especially at 25-27 ℃, and no feeding was allowed in thunderstorm days and above 30 ℃ or below 15 ℃. In addition, reasonable fertilization should be carried out according to the water quality and fertility, the transparency of the pool water should be controlled at 15-20 cm, and the water color should be yellowish green. When the water temperature reaches 30 ℃, the pool water should be changed frequently and the water depth should be increased; when the Loach often swims to the surface to "swallow air", it indicates that there is a lack of oxygen in the water, so fertilizer should be stopped and new water should be injected.
