(Taiwan Business News) the "River of Hope" Square in Tucheng, New Taipei City is an urban micro-travel attraction for flower appreciators and flower lovers. Although the flower-watching crowd in March-April has now come to an end, sharp-eyed tourists can still find round and lovely fruit strings hanging on the rattan frame, take the stick as the protagonist of fruit appreciation, and look forward to this year's harvest of grapes.

The green grapes grown here in the River of Hope are small and lovely, which can not be used as fruit, but the fruit juice is the ultimate flavor. The grapevines here are planted by Xu Chunteng, the governor of Tucheng District, since 1999, and they bear a lot of fruit every year, and the volunteers of the New Taipei City Greening Landscape Promotion Association who take good care of and cultivate them are behind it.

More than 90 volunteers of the association are divided into five groups. each group takes turns to be responsible for watering, fertilizing and other maintenance work planted around the River of Hope for a whole month, such as grapevines with fallen leaves in winter and pruning in December. on the other hand, new buds begin to appear in early spring, and January is a good time to apply fertilizer. in addition to organic fertilizer, soy milk meal is also asked from the nearby breakfast restaurant to be used as fertilizer.

Xu Chunteng is also particularly grateful for the guidance given by the New Taipei Municipal Bureau of Agriculture over the years. More than 60 Yoshino cherry trees in the River of Hope and five new mountain cherry blossoms added last year were all planted with the assistance of the Bureau of Agriculture. At present, there are still rhododendron, romantic chrysanthemum, Pueraria lobata, soft branch yellow cicada, hibiscus and other colorful flowers blooming, as well as bamboo, southern bamboos and other foliage plants, with good landscape and pleasant environment. It is the common achievement of the association volunteers, the local office, the district office and the agriculture bureau.

It is expected that the cool grape champagne juice will be shared with the public at the end of June this year, so that people can visit the "fruit appreciation" of the grapes and pick grapes together to experience a happy one-day life as a grape farmer.
