Wild caught river shrimp (shrimp) can be cultured. There are two ways of farming, one is to catch shrimp directly for cultivation; the other is to catch shrimp with eggs and put them into ponds, so that they can naturally lay eggs and hatch larvae in the pond, and then cultivate them into shrimp for cultivation. The following points of attention will be developed here:

Environmental conditions for farming

Shrimp culture water must meet the water quality standards for fishing waters, water must be clean enough oxygen. There are no large pest organisms in the culture pond. Pond depth 1.2-1.5 meters, bottom silt to be less, the bottom should be hard. Shrimp is not good at swimming, and has negative phototaxis. During the day, it often lurks in the dark gravel or water grass, that is, it lies in the daytime and comes out at night to feed. Most of the time, it perches on the bottom or water grass and other climbing objects. It likes to perch in the slow-flowing shoals along the coast. Therefore, there should be sufficient attachments for breeding shrimp. Water grass or nets can be planted by the pool. But shrimp can also feed during the day under conditions of artificial culture.

Shrimp's diet is very miscellaneous

From larval stage to adult shrimp, zooplankton, algae, cladocera, copepods, small aquatic insects, organic debris, filamentous algae, sessile algae, invertebrates, etc. are ingested, but they like to eat animal feed. Compound feed can be used under artificial breeding conditions, especially for snail meat, earthworm, small miscellaneous fish, fly maggot, silkworm chrysalis and other animal feeds, so it is better to add some animal feeds appropriately in the breeding process.

Life span of shrimp

After observation and investigation, it is generally only more than one year, and the longest one is only more than two years (male shrimp is 16-17 months; female shrimp is 26-27 months). Now most people think that the green shrimp hatched in May and June will die one after another after completing reproduction in July and August of the following year. Many farmers put dozens of kilograms of egg-holding shrimp in May, and by the end of the year they could not catch prawns, only shrimp is the reason. Therefore, when putting shrimp eggs into culture, prawns should be caught out of the market in time after they have laid eggs.

Spawning of Shrimp

There are two peaks, one in late spring and early summer, which is formed by the eggs laid by the old shrimp after winter, and the other in autumn, which is formed by the eggs laid by a part of the first generation of young shrimp. Therefore, we should decide whether to carry out autumn propagation according to our own breeding conditions and environment, and from the perspective of balanced listing and improving yield and benefit, we should carry out overall arrangement and give full play to the advantages of natural overwintering of shrimp.

From the larva to the nursery

Early water quality cultivation is the key, and organic fertilizer is needed to cultivate a large number of zooplankton for larvae or young shrimps to feed, in order to improve the survival rate of cultivation and culture. A shrimp stage can be fed artificial feed or compound feed. After 50-60 days of cultivation, the hatchlings generally reach 2.5- 3cm in length, and some female shrimps mature, and the male shrimps reach 4- 5cm in October-November. Therefore, in the process of cultivation, shrimp should be caught according to the growth situation of the timely discharge. Large-sized shrimp listed on the pond shrimp growth is beneficial.

secondary culture

In order to improve the growth rate and pond size of shrimp culture, it is best to culture in two stages, that is, from larvae to 1-2 cm shrimp species, to shrimp to adult shrimp. Conditions can be carried out three-level culture, that is, larval-1-2 cm long shrimp species-3 cm long shrimp species-adult shrimp. Graded culture can also improve the survival rate of culture.

rational stocking

Monoculture shrimp is usually put in mid-June-mid-July every year, 60,000 - 80,000 shrimp per mu; if shrimp is put, the number of hours can be appropriately reduced. If fish and shrimp polyculture is carried out, 15,000 shrimp species of about 2 cm are put per mu from mid-July to mid-August every year. If it is the case that eggs are placed in shrimp culture, 25-30 jin of eggs are placed in each mu. You may consider double season pond farming in your second year. In addition, summer flowers or fingerlings of silver carp should be cultivated in shrimp ponds (1000-1500 larger fingerlings of that year should be stocked in adult shrimp ponds until the middle stage of breeding).

fishing

The main fishing methods are cage net, shrimp net, copy net catch, or in the pool water grass is drive catch, generally in September will start to carry out rotation catch, catch large and small, up to 4.5 cm above commercial shrimp six consecutive catch market.
