The weather is hot in summer and the water temperature is relatively high. in order to ensure that the river crabs spend the summer safely and improve the survival rate, the following measures must be taken:

Ensure an adequate supply of aquatic plants

In summer, some aquatic plants such as water peanuts, duckweed, Reed and Zizania caduciflora should be released in the crab pond to provide a cool habitat for river crabs. In addition, the crab pond to maintain a large number of verticillium verticillata, grass and other tender water supply, so that river crabs to eat and avoid enemy damage. The aquatic plants used for shading can not cover the whole surface of the pool, and the surface of the pool should have a mobile space of about 1x3 area. Thoroughly remove the dirty water plants, so as not to spoil the water quality and breed germs.

Ensure fresh, clean and nutritious water quality

The water quality of the crab pond should be checked frequently, the leftover food and dirt should be removed in time, and the water transparency should be kept above 5cm. Inject water frequently and replace it with new water. The source of water must be hygienic, clean, pollution-free and non-toxic. Use biological agents to transfer and improve water.

Pay attention to the feeding of bait

At high temperature, the feeding of plant food should be increased appropriately, and the feeding of animal food should be reduced. Wheat, pumpkin and vegetable cake are all plant feed that river crabs like to eat. The feeding amount should be increased or decreased according to the water temperature of the day and the feeding situation of the river crab the day before, which is generally about 10% of the total body weight of the pond crab, with a little surplus two hours after feeding. Feeding time should be carried out at 4: 5 p.m. every day in order to adapt to the habit of river crabs lying during the day and coming out at night.

It is necessary to do a good job in the prevention of escape, damage and disease.

Crab ponds must be patrolled every day during high temperatures. Through the pond patrol, we can learn about the feeding activities of river crabs, check the escape prevention facilities and whether there are diseases and enemy pests. If there are signs of river crabs escaping, the damaged escape prevention facilities should be replaced in time. Catch the frogs, water rats and other enemy creatures in the crab pond in time to eliminate their damage to the pond crabs. It is necessary to do a good job in disease prevention, and fungicides and other drugs can be used irregularly. The occurrence of sick crabs and dead crabs should immediately find out the cause and pay close attention to treatment.
