The breeding and management of black dolphins is the comprehensive application of the knowledge of reproduction, breeding, nutrition and feed of black dolphins. To do a good job in feeding and management is a key measure to give full play to the production potential of improved black dolphins and improve the economic benefits of raising black dolphins. Improper feeding and management, non-capture makes the black dolphin low productivity, but also makes the black dolphin produce a variety of diseases. Therefore, whether the production of black dolphins can achieve high benefits depends to a large extent on the implementation of scientific breeding and management.

In the domestic dolphin market, there are often two biases: one is that the black dolphin is a herbivore, and as long as the supply of forage is satisfied, the black dolphin can be raised; the other is that in order to make the black dolphin high yield, a large amount of concentrate must be invested in order to achieve the goal of eating more and growing faster. Because the feed is not selected scientifically according to the digestive characteristics of black dolphins, it brings unnecessary losses to dolphin production. Some people have raised newly introduced black dolphins and fed them with malt milk and glucose at any cost. as a result, there is no high yield. on the contrary, digestive tract diseases continue to occur.

Although the black dolphin is a herbivore, it does not have a strong ability to digest crude fiber, so the quality and quantity of the green roughage fed to the black dolphin must be paid attention to. Feeding only green feed without concentrate will reduce the productivity of black dolphins and make them sick. On the other hand, if a large amount of concentrate is put in, and little or no green coarse feed is fed, the consequences will be even more serious than that of feeding only green coarse feed. In order to achieve high benefit in dolphin production, feed should be selected according to different physiological periods (such as growth and development, pregnancy, lactation, mating, etc.) and different production purposes (fattening, wool production, skin production). According to the national conditions of our country, the black dolphin should be fed mainly with green roughage and concentrate, and if possible, a variety of feed can also be processed into a small amount of full-price pellet feed to feed the black dolphin, the effect will be better.
