The breeding method of black dolphin

1. Breeding facilities

There are a variety of ways of raising black dolphins, which are generally adopted in accordance with local conditions: cage breeding, pond-type captive breeding, three-dimensional scale factory breeding.

① cage: where a small amount of breeding can be used in this way. The utility model has the advantages of being able to control reproduction, feed and keep clean and hygienic. The cage can be made of wood strips, bamboo chips and iron wire, with a scale of 60 cm × 50 cm × 40 cm.

② pool type captive breeding: suitable for bungalows and wide houses. The room is divided into a 0.5-1 square meter pool with bricks and planks, and some sawdust or hay had better be padded in the pool, which is conducive to keeping warm and absorbing moisture. At present, most of them are raised by this method.

③ three-dimensional factory feeding: its scale is large, relatively centralized, easy to manage, operate, raise a large number. Use brick or wood, iron bar to make 3-5 layers, the bottom is slightly inclined, so that feces flow out, easy to manage. There are small doors in the pool and cage. All kinds of feeding methods generally have a small density of 8-10 per square meter and a large density of 10-20.

2. Feeding and supply

The eating habits of black dolphins are very miscellaneous, and adequate nutrition is needed for normal growth, development and reproduction. As the black dolphin is a herbivore, the digestibility of crude fiber is high, such as long-term supply of green material or hay and other plants, the peeling phenomenon will occur, so the feeding supply should be refined, green materials should be properly matched.

① concentrate: corn meal, wheat bran, rice bran, etc., can also be fed to piglets.

② green material: fresh tender grass, such as oak grass, corn leaves, sugarcane leaves, leaves, green vegetables, peels, carrots, sweet potatoes and so on.

3. Feeding and management of black dolphins

Feeding and management is the key to black dolphin breeding, with emphasis on preventing feed from mildew and deterioration. When pellet feed is fed directly, you should put clean water for drinking, or mix feed, eat less and eat more, about 40 grams of adult diet, twice a day, to keep the trough clean and hygienic. After feeding the concentrate, fresh green material is added at the same time. The green material had better be cut and fed on the same day, and the daily intake of green material per adult is about 250 grams to prevent feeding of green material contaminated by pesticides.

The feeding room should be kept quiet, the feces should be cleaned every day, and the utensils should be scrubbed clean frequently. It is best to keep the room temperature at 18-25 ℃ and the relative humidity at 45-55%. Keep warm in winter. Prevent rodents and snakes from entering the breeding room to create a comfortable environment for black dolphins.

4. Black dolphin breeding

According to the preliminary observation, the female is about 45 days old, and the male is about 70 days old, but the first mating period of the female should be after 70 days to ensure the reproduction rate.

The time of maternal estrus lasts 1-18 hours. After mating, there are rubber-like embolism and secretory mixture at the vaginal orifice. According to whether this embolism is present or not, we can judge whether the black dolphin is successful or not. When raising in large groups, 2-3 mothers are often used to mate with one male, and do not put more than 2 males for mating at the same time, otherwise it will cause struggle and affect mating. In the course of breeding, if there is a close relative variant of the same generation, that is, the healthy bodies of male and female distant relatives should be replaced to improve the degree of purebred; if it is propagated as the original species, the method of one male and one female distant breeding can be adopted. The mother can breed after weaning, or put it into the male within half a day after giving birth, if it is successful, it can improve the reproduction rate.

During the gestation period of 56-68 days, the number of black dolphins was 1-6 and 3-15. The cubs began to feed 3-5 days after birth, and were weaned at about 15-20 days and raised separately.
