Social insects are insects that have cluster coordination and significant internal differentiation in cluster life. the biggest feature is that the division of labor is established according to hierarchical differentiation among members, while it is difficult for individual members to survive without the cluster. common social insects are bees, termites, ants, wasps and so on. Let's take a look.

Ant

Ants are typical social insects, which generally have queens and workers. Unfertilized females and males appear at a specific time, and the heads of some species of workers become soldiers. The queen, or mother ant, ant king, etc., are mainly responsible for laying eggs, reproducing offspring and managing the large family of this group. Workers do not have the ability to reproduce, and their main duties are to build and expand nests, collect food, and feed larvae and queens. The soldier ant is a common name for the large worker ants of some ant species. it has a well-developed upper jaw and can crush hard food and become a combat weapon when defending groups.

Bees

Honeybees live in groups, and there are three types of honeybees in the colony: Queen, worker and drones, and there is a queen bee, 10 to 150000 workers and 5 to 1500 drones. The queen bee is large and specializes in spawning and reproduction. Drones are smaller than females, specialize in mating and die after mating. Worker bees are small and are female bees with underdeveloped genitalia, specializing in building nests, collecting food, feeding larvae, cleaning nests and regulating nest humidity.

Termites

Termites are social sexual insects, and the social classes are queens, queens, soldiers and workers. The queen specializes in spawning and reproduction, the queen specializes in mating, the soldier ant is the defender of the group, and the worker ant is responsible for a lot of complicated work in the nest. such as building ant mounds, digging tunnels, building ant roads, cultivating fungus nurseries, collecting food, raising young ants, soldiers and queens, cleaning and hygiene, taking care of ant eggs, etc., in the species of unarmed ants, they are also responsible for resisting foreign enemies.

Wasp

Wasps, also known as wasps, etc., are groups of insects with social behavior, in which there are differences among queen bees, worker bees and drones. The queen bee was the female bee that mated and fertilized with the drone after the autumn of the previous year. The sperm was stored in the seminal vesicle and used in different times. The drone died soon after mating, and the worker bee was responsible for nesting and feeding larvae.
