2. Imported American ginseng: the main root of imported American ginseng is round or spindle-shaped, the Reed head remains or has been removed, the residual one is slightly to one side, the surface is light yellow or yellowish white, the skin pattern is delicate, with protruding transverse lenticels, the texture is full and strong, the folded section is slightly horny, there are often small fissures between the skin and the wood or center, the cross section is pink and white, and the skin can be seen to form a brown layer ring, with reddish brown spots scattered inside and outside the ring. It has a strong taste of hard work and penetrates the throat.
