How long do flies live? A fly can live for about a month in the middle of summer, but its life span can be extended by 2 to 3 months at lower temperatures, and it can hardly be active below 10 degrees and live longer.

The main factors affecting the fly life span are temperature, humidity, food and water. The optimum temperature is 25℃~33℃ and the air humidity is 60%~70. Female flies live longer than male flies, and their life span is 30~60 days. Under laboratory conditions, flies can live for up to 112 days. Under low temperature overwintering conditions, flies can live for half a year.

Flies have the physiological characteristics of laying eggs for life once mating. A female fly can lay eggs 5-6 times in her life, and the number of eggs laid each time is about 100-150, up to 300 or so. It can reproduce 10-12 generations in a year.
