The rising temperature in summer has put forward new requirements for the application of pesticides, so what should be paid attention to in the use of pesticides in summer?

Matters needing attention for safe use of pesticides in summer

1. Safe application of pesticides and prohibition of highly toxic pesticides. Dispensing and spraying should prevent pesticides from corroding the skin, and it is forbidden to spray pesticides at noon in summer. The continuous application time should not be too long, and the liquid should be kept well at the spraying site to prevent human and animal poisoning. In particular, biological pesticides, ultraviolet rays in the sun have a killing effect on spores, direct light irradiation for 30 minutes, spores can die about 50%, irradiation for 1 hour, the mortality rate is as high as 80%. Therefore, the application of biological pesticides can be after 4 o'clock in the afternoon, cloudy days without moderate to heavy rain, can be applied throughout the day.

2. Strictly control the dosage. Any pesticide should be used according to the recommended dosage, and it is easy to cause crop drug damage or control effect at will.

3. When the medicine is used at the right time, the control effect is ideal. For example, protective fungicides must be used before or at the initial stage of the disease, and herbicides should be correctly applied in different dosage forms, such as pre-bud application and stem and leaf treatment.

4. the application time is from 7 to 9 a.m. on a sunny day, and the best application time is from 4 to 6 p.m.

5. Rational mixed use of pesticides. After mixed use, it can not increase the toxicity to humans and animals, there can be no chemical change between the active components, nor can it increase the cost of drug use.

6. the application should be uniform and thoughtful, and should not be re-sprayed or missed, so as to ensure the safety of crops and effective against disease and caterpillar fungus.

7. prescribe the right medicine to the case. There are many kinds of pesticides with different characteristics, so we should introduce the control objects and choose the most suitable pesticides.

In addition, when the efficacy is very poor or the drug damage occurs, the drug should be sent to the pesticide testing unit for testing in time, and the drug damage should be remedied in time. One is to apply fertilizer to remedy the symptoms such as drug spots, leaf edge scorch or plant yellowing on the leaf surface, which are usually remedied by foliar topdressing; second, the herbicide damage that inhibits or interferes with plant growth can be alleviated by spraying gibberellin.
