104 Guidance Notes on Application for SME Business Advisory Programme

Towards the Peak-103 Annual SME Management Counseling Results

Small and medium-sized enterprise business counseling program aims at the difficulties related to business management of enterprises. Through counseling consultant proposals and planning, it improves different aspects such as business strategy, marketing channel, operation process, personnel management, etc. to help enterprises strengthen their business constitution and enhance their competitiveness.

In order to achieve the long-term goal of sustainable management, the department of small and medium-sized enterprises of the ministry of economic affairs should not only actively expand the market and improve the added value of products, but also plan and establish a management system that conforms to the enterprise constitution, and examine the current internal and external business environment and current situation, implement and improve it.

Business Mentoring Programme for SMEs Eligibility:

1. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have completed their business registration and meet the criteria set forth in the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development Act promulgated by the Executive Yuan may apply. The following descriptions are given according to the industry category: manufacturing, construction, mining, and earth-mining industries with paid-in capital of NT$80 million or less, or those that regularly employ less than 200 employees (one of the conditions is satisfied). Other than those specified in the preceding paragraph, the previous year's turnover was NT$100 million or less, or the number of employees regularly employed was less than 100 (one of the conditions shall be satisfied).

2. The short-term diagnostic work of this project has been completed.

3.104 No other counselling or subsidy programs have been received by the SME Department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (short-term diagnosis is not limited).

4. This program provides counseling assistance for "small and medium-sized enterprises that are not start-ups and micro-scale enterprises". Only small and medium-sized enterprises that have been established for one year and have more than five employees can apply for this counseling resource.

SME Business Mentoring Programme Application Documents:

1. Project Application Form (e.g. WORD file attached).

2. Application Period: From now until Friday, April 17, 2014, by registered postmark.

3. Please type the application form by computer. Please fill in all fields in order to avoid affecting the operation time limit. If there are any omissions, please supplement it.
