When I went out in the morning, I was as succulent as a little lotus. When I came back in the afternoon, the leaves suddenly drooped down, especially the succulent ones with stakes, as if I had put on a small skirt, leaving only a few leaves on the top of my head.

You think only an old pile can wear a skirt? Even ordinary succulent plants can happen like this: the leaves turn down like a round dough cake. We call it "spread out cake". Do flower friends know what this is all about?

The reasons why succulent plants wear skirts and spread cakes:

1. Species: blue stone lotus, Guanyin lotus, Lu's stone lotus, bluebird, and so on. These succulent leaves are numerous and shaped like lotus flowers. When the weather is hot, the old leaves are easy to wilt and naturally turn down.

2. More water and less light: the sun is so strong in summer that many flower friends dare not let the succulent plants bask in the sun. They want to water the succulent leaves when they see the soil is dry. The water in the succulent leaves cannot evaporate, so it is easy to droop.

3, less water drought: less water will wear a skirt, but this is more like a normal metabolism, the old leaves gradually dehydrate and droop, slowly dry up.

Method 1: bask in the sun in the morning and evening and control the water reasonably!

Once you find that the succulent leaves in your home have turned over, look for the reason: haven't you been basking in the sun recently? Or is there too much water? After finding the reason, first correct it from the maintenance.

The sun can be succulent in the morning and evening in summer, just shade at noon or move indoors. Flower friends who don't know how to control water can insert 2 bamboo sticks on the edge of the flowerpot and be careful not to go near the succulent root to avoid hurting the root.

Pull the bamboo stick once every 1-2 days to see the dark color of the root and the length of the clayey soil. if it is less than 1 cm, it means that the flowerpot is almost dry and can be watered; if it is more than 1 cm as shown below, there is no need to water it.

This method is the most mild, and it works in about a week. Let's see if the flowering stone lotus leaves are all standing up.

Method 2: wrapping method

If your family's succulent turned out to be a small steamed stuffed bun, suddenly spread a big cake, that can be vigilant, once deformed, the back is very difficult to recover, must make a tough move!

If your succulent leaves are loose, don't keep trying. It's important to keep your life alive.

You can also wrap it with toilet paper to make it more breathable and the effect is the same.

Wrapped around a week or so roughly finalized, finally fixed into a small steamed stuffed bun, the back can be carefully maintained yo!

Method 3: remove the lower old leaves

Many flower friends see that the turned leaves are not good-looking, so they pick them casually, which can easily infect the wound and cause fungal diseases such as anthrax and rot.

The best thing is to water less, and when the old leaves of the lower layer dry up, take them off carefully, so that they can become old piles.

Method 4: beheading and rebirth

For the meat with more leaves turning down, you can directly choose to cut the head and length. In the following picture, Huahua chooses to cut at the position of the red line, either with cotton thread or with knives or scissors. The knife had better be disinfected with boiling water first (cool and then used).

Cut off the flower head and rolled off the leaves, it is best to soak the carbendazim solution for 10-20 minutes to disinfect, dry and insert in a small bottle to take root in water culture, note: the rod does not need to touch the surface of the water, mainly with the help of water vapor in the bottle to take root.

Do not give up the pile after beheading. Spread a little carbendazim on the wound and put it in a cool and ventilated place. You must water less. After that, more small buds will emerge slowly. Wait for the long old pile to emerge.
