There are about 40 million donkeys in the world, 47% of which are distributed in Asia. China has the largest number of donkeys in the world, with an annual stock of about 10 million. The fresh donkey meat is dark red, with high protein content, low fat content, about 1.1% mineral content and low cholesterol content. And it has the characteristics of light taste, delicious taste and unique flavor, so it is used as a delicacy on the table and leisure.

Construction of breeding ground

The meat donkey breeding ground generally includes 3-4 functional areas, namely, living area, management area, production area, fecal and urine sewage treatment area and disease and livestock management area. The specific layout follows the following principles:

1. Living area: refers to the cultural residential area for staff and workers. The cattle farm should be in the limelight and high-lying areas, and keep a distance of 100 meters from the production area, so as to ensure a good sanitary environment in the living area.

2. Management area: including buildings related to operation and management, product processing and sales. The management area should be strictly separated from the production area to ensure a distance of more than 50 meters. Foreigners can only operate in the management area, and off-site transport vehicles and livestock are strictly prohibited from entering the production area.

3. Production area: should be located in the downwind position of the site area, to be able to control off-site personnel and vehicles, so that they can not directly enter the production area, to ensure the safest and quietest. Doorman reception room, disinfection room, changing room and vehicle disinfection pool are set up at the gate. Non-production personnel are strictly prohibited from entering or leaving the field, and the entry and exit personnel and vehicles must be strictly disinfected through the disinfection room or disinfection pool. The meat donkey houses in the production areas should be rationally distributed, raised in groups in stages, and the cowhouses should be kept at a proper distance and neatly arranged in order to prevent epidemic and fire prevention. However, it should also be properly concentrated, save hydropower lines and pipelines, shorten the transportation distance of forage and feces, and facilitate scientific management. The coarse feed warehouse is located in the higher ground of the downwind mouth of the production area, keeping a fire prevention distance of 60 meters from other buildings. Take into account the two links of transportation from outside the venue to the donkey house. Feed depots, hay sheds, processing workshops and silage ponds are closer to the cowshed and more moderately located, so as to facilitate vehicles to transport forage and reduce labor intensity. However, donkey houses and playgrounds must be prevented from polluting forage due to sewage infiltration.

4. Fecal and urine sewage treatment and diseased livestock management area: located in the low leeward of the production area, keeping a sanitary distance of 300 meters with the production area, the diseased donkey area should be easy to isolate, separate access, easy to disinfect, easy to deal with dirt, etc. The landfill well or body incinerator is more than 300-500 meters away from the livestock house. Prevent the spread of sewage, faeces and urine wastes to pollute the environment.

Fattening technique of meat donkey

Donkey is a herbivore with strong disease resistance, easy feeding, good management, fast reproduction, stocking and captive breeding, and small investment, so it is very suitable for farmers to raise on a small scale. After short-term fattening in winter, the weight of the little donkey can reach 200 murmur400 kg, and the weight of the adult donkey can reach 320 400 kg. According to the current market situation, it is estimated that raising a donkey can make a profit of 600 to 1000 yuan.

1. Choose fattening donkeys

Guanzhong donkey and Texas donkey are the first choice. Guanzhong donkeys are mainly produced in Guanzhong Plain, Shaanxi Province, with a body weight of 250kg and 290kg, while Dezhou donkeys are mainly produced in Dezhou City, Shandong Province, with a body weight of about 325kg.

2. Deworming and invigorating the stomach

The donkey can be dewormed and stomach-invigorated after being stabled for 3-5 days. Chongkexing was used to dispel parasites in donkeys. The oral dosage of powder was 0.1ml / kg body weight, and the dosage of subcutaneous injection was 0.65ml / kg body weight. Stomach-strengthening is usually carried out 3 days after deworming, giving each donkey 60 grams of artificial salt or 450 grams of Jianwei Powder.

3. Fattening and raising of donkeys

Donkeys purchased from other places should be trained to gradually adapt to local feeding conditions. At first, corn and wheat can be ground into flour, boiled into gruel and added a little sugar to induce them to eat. A few days later, in addition to feeding grass normally, they were fed 80 grams of 100 grams of concentrate a day, and then increased gradually. A total of about 480 kg of concentrate is needed during the whole fattening period of the donkey.

4. Fattening and raising of adult donkeys

For adult donkeys bought from other places, they should first feed some grass, wheat bran and other digestible feed, and feed less frequently, 60 or 70% full each time, and wait for them to eat grass normally before entering the fattening period. During the fattening period, the mixed roughage is mainly composed of high-quality hay, soybean straw powder and corn straw powder, and the mixed concentrate feed is generally 50% soybean cake, 30% corn flour and 20% wheat bran. Fattening donkeys can be fed concentrate twice during the day, only roughage at night, 80% full each time, and can be slaughtered and sold after about two months. The concentrate and roughage used for fattening adult donkeys should be selected according to local natural resources and market conditions, such as cotton shell, soybean straw powder and corn straw powder, and peanut cake, soybean cake, cooked sorghum or soybean powder. During the fattening period, the donkey's exercise should be limited, and the enclosure and environment should be kept clean and dry.

Breeding skills of meat donkey

1. Enclosure: intensive meat donkeys are fattened, and stable breeding is better. Generally speaking, above the stables, it can block the rain and the wind. There is a food trough in the enclosure, and each donkey should reserve enough food space of 60cm to 80cm. Between adult donkeys, a strong fence should be set up according to the distance of the food position to prevent them from harassing each other (male and female mixed stables are more important).
