Smoking and ripening method

Raw bananas can be ripe with incense, which was often used in the past, and the method is very simple, that is, put a large number of raw bananas in a small room, and then light the incense in it, when the smoke reaches a certain concentration, you can close the doors and windows, take the bananas out in two days, and the bananas will be ripe in about five days.

Ethephon accelerated ripening

It is also a common method to ripen raw bananas with ethephon, which is a low-toxic drug. Just spray ethephon on it after putting the bananas away. After spraying, cover the bananas with plastic sheeting, remove the plastic sheeting one day, and then wait two days or so before the bananas will ripen successfully.

Ethylene gas process

The raw banana can be ripened with ethylene gas in the airtight ripening room, and the concentration of ethylene is 200~500ppm. The packaged banana fruit can be ripened in the ripening room with ethylene, so as to save labor, which is the method adopted in large ripening rooms abroad. However, when the concentration of ethylene in the air reaches about 3%, it is easy to explode, and the operation should pay attention to safety.

Family ripening method

The above methods of ripening raw bananas are usually used when there are a large amount of raw bananas, which are not suitable for use at home. When you buy bananas at home and want to ripen, the best way is to buy the bananas back and put them in a plastic bag. Then put two apples or pears, and then tie the mouth close to the heat.
