After you buy the green mango, you can put it in the rice at home, bury it with rice, it can play the role of ripening, after one or two days in the rice, the green mango will turn yellow and ready to eat.

2. Paper bag ripening: put the purchased green mango in a paper bag, put two apples or pears, tie up the mouth of the bag and put it in a warm environment. After a day or so, the green mango will turn orange. In another day or so, the mango will be soft and ripe, and it will be ready to eat.

How to identify the ripening mango?

1. Peel: the appearance color of naturally ripe mango is not very uniform, while most of the ripening mango is emerald green at the tip of the small head, and other parts of the pericarp are yellow.

2. Fruity aroma: when selecting, you can distinguish the fruit aroma by carefully smelling the skin, which is more intense than the natural ripening of mango, and individual mango has a peculiar smell.

3. Feel: naturally ripe mangoes are hard and elastic, while ripening mangoes are relatively soft.

Weight: put the mango in your hand and weigh it, the ripening mango will be heavier than the naturally ripe mango.

How to choose the best mango?

1. Fruit shape: the core of mango is relatively large, so when choosing mango, you should try to choose mango with small core so that you can eat more flesh. The size of the fruit core can be judged from the fruit shape. Generally speaking, the mango stone with longer fruit shape is smaller, while the mango kernel with short and thick fruit shape is thicker.

2. Peel: mango has uniform yellow and orange skin, smooth skin, no black spots around the pedicel, solid and fleshy texture when touching, if the skin is green, the epidermis is astringent, or if there are black spots around the skin and pedicel are immature mango or ripe mango.

3. Pedicel: when buying mango, you can press the pedicel by hand. If it feels hard and elastic, it is a ripe mango, and the pedicel is too hard or too soft.

4. Pulp: cut mango if the core is hard and the pulp is yellow, it means that the fruit is ripe. If the core is still soft and the pulp is white, it means that the fruit is not yet ripe.

5. Ups and downs: if the mango is sinking or semi-sinking after being put into the water, it means that the mango is ripe, while if the mango is floating on the surface, it means that the mango is not yet ripe.
