Coconut is a large plant of the genus Coconut in Palmaceae. it is an important tropical woody oil crop. The famous tropical fruit coconut is the fruit of coconut. Its broad distribution is related to the fact that the fruit coconut can be propagated far away from the mother tree after drifting thousands of kilometers in the sea. Coconut trees usually begin to bear fruit after 5-6 years, 15-18 years is the peak period, there are 40-80 fruits per plant, most of them are more than 100, and the economic life span is more than 80 years. The number of leaves produced each year varies with different tree age. it tends to increase with the increase of tree age before the peak period, and decreases slightly after the peak period, but it can still remain constant. In a year, the number of budding is the most from May to June and the least from November to December. The inflorescence was exposed 3.5 months after the bud was drawn, and it took 12 months from fertilization to fruit maturation from July to September when the flower blossomed most.

Coconut trees are native to southeast Asia, Indonesia to the Pacific Islands, and are cultivated in the southern islands of Guangdong, Leizhou Peninsula, Hainan, Taiwan and southern Yunnan. There are mainly three kinds of varieties: green coconut, coconut and red coconut, which have formed many types and varieties in long-term natural selection and artificial selection.
