Where is the origin of summer black grape?
The origin of Xiahei grape is Japan, and it is the offspring of Jufeng grape. Early-maturing European and American varieties can be eaten in July. Xiahei grape is characterized by early ripening, seedless, high sugar and low acid, rich aroma, crisp meat and medium hardness. It is relatively hard in European and American grapes.
Xiahei grape is an European-American hybrid and triploid variety, bred by Jufeng X diploid seedless white hybrid from the fruit tree proving ground in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It was registered in August 1997 and introduced into China in 1998.
The plant growth of Xiahei grape is strong, and the germination rate of bud eye is 85%. The branching rate is 95%, and each fruiting branch bears an average of 1.5 inflorescences. Hidden bud sprouting branches and knots with strong strength and high yield. It sprouted in late March, flowered in mid-May and ripened in late July in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province. It takes about 110 days from flowering to fruit ripening. It is an early-maturing seedless variety. The disease resistance is strong, the fruit does not crack after ripening and does not drop grains.
