Mulberry likes light and bears shade slightly when young. Like warm and humid climate, cold. Drought-resistant, water-wet ability is very strong. Strong adaptability to soil, barren and light alkaline resistance, hi deep soil layer, moist, fertile soil. Developed roots, strong wind resistance. Strong germination and pruning resistance. Has a strong ability to resist smoke. Mulberry planting has directly buy mulberry seedlings to plant, with mulberry propagation and seeding propagation three practices, specific planting methods are as follows:

Mulberry seedling planting method

1. Slope and semi-arid paddy field flat ditch planting, paddy field ridge planting. Before planting, dig planting trenches: mark samples according to the predetermined row spacing, and then dig deep planting trenches, 30-50 cm wide and 50 cm deep. First dig deep 3 5 cm, topsoil and subsoil should be stacked separately, and then dig deep in the ditch 15 cm, so that the subsoil loose, so that mulberry roots deep. Planting ditch should be connected with drainage ditch around mulberry garden, and timely drainage can be carried out after rain.

2, base fertilizer: planting base fertilizer application, to apply organic fertilizer, such as garbage, manure, manure, etc. is good, 1500-2000 kg per mu, but also mixed with 50 kg of calcium superphosphate. Mix the base fertilizer with the excavated soil.

3. Root repair: Before planting mulberry seedlings, cut off too long and damaged mulberry roots, leaving roots about 15 cm long. Remove disease and insect seedlings and plant large and small seedlings separately. Before planting, use phosphorus fertilizer and yellow mud slurry to improve the survival rate.

4. Planting: Fill part of the topsoil in the planting ditch and cover it on the base fertilizer, about 7-10 cm thick. When planting, first pull the planting rope marked with plant spacing, put mulberry seedlings into planting ditch, stretch the roots of seedlings, reach the root extension of seedlings, then fill the topsoil into the roots, pinch the seedlings, gently lift up, make the soil particles fully fill the gap between the roots, pour a spoonful of water, human and animal dung, knock all the subsoil into the ditch, and then fill it firmly. General planting depth to bury the root neck 5~6 cm is appropriate. Then according to the requirements of tree growth, cut the seedling stem.

5. Drenching and drainage: Drenching water in time when drought occurs after planting, draining water in time when waterlogging occurs, and making up for lack of seedlings in time when found.

6. Fertilization and weeding: When the new shoots grow to 3-4 inches high, apply the first fertilizer, and apply 7-10 catties of manure + urea per mu; when they grow to 5-6 inches high, apply the second fertilizer in combination with weeding, apply 500-1000 catties of farm manure +40 catties of compound fertilizer +20 catties of urea per mu, and the fertilizer is 3 inches away from the mulberry seedlings to avoid burning the mulberry seedlings. It is necessary to dig trenches and apply deep soil. After applying fertilizer for the second time, spray herbicide for dry land such as Hornystole once, pay attention not to spray mulberry seedlings; apply fertilizer for the third time after 20 days, apply biological organic fertilizer 100 jin + urea 40 jin per mu. After applying fertilizer, spray dimethoate + dichlorvos once. The concentration is 2 caps of dimethoate and 2 caps of dichlorvos in a bucket of water with backpack sprayer. Do not spray other pesticides to avoid silkworm poisoning.

mulberry branch propagation method

1. Land selection and soil preparation: It is good to select dry paddy fields with fertile soil and no waterlogging, and plow well.

2. Branch selection and planting methods

Mature branches about 1 meter near the root should be selected, and the planting time should be carried out during winter felling in December. With cutting and planting, the survival rate can be improved. The planting methods include vertical method and horizontal method.

① Vertical method: cut mulberry branches into 5 inches (3-4 buds) or so, arrange branches vertically (bud upward) after opening grooves, bury branches or expose a bud, compact mud, drench enough water, keep wet for 20 days, cover with full film, remove film after budding.

2 horizontal buried strip method: this is a new technology, the most suitable for seedless seeds, after leveling the land, according to the specifications to open about 1.5 inches deep ditch, and then cut into about 2 feet long branches flat swing 2 (swing 2 is to ensure the number of germination) back to the soil about 0.8 inches, light pressure after watering, cover the film after germination to remove the film.

3. Post-planting management

After the buds grow 5 inches high, combine weeding, and apply 300-400 jin of farm manure +15 jin of urea per mu. After 20 days, apply compound fertilizer 60 jin + urea 30 jin per mu again, and carry out pest control after fertilization.

Direct seeding and interplanting method

This is a new technology for rapid garden formation and economic efficiency improvement. The specific methods are as follows:

1. Preparation before sowing: Select good land with loose soil and easy to break. After ploughing and breaking, open drainage ditch, draw line according to row width of 2.1 - 2.4 feet, apply decomposed organic fertilizer along the line, turn it evenly with soil, and level the ground.

2. Sowing method: The most suitable sowing method is from February to March. First, the soil with a width of 3 inches shall be fully broken and fully watered, and then the mulberry seeds shall be sown along the mulberry row line. The sowing quantity per mu shall be 2-3 liang (3-6 seeds shall be sown every 3 inches). The seeds shall be covered with mud powder, and finally the grass shall be covered and watered again. Interplanting soybeans, peanuts, vegetables and other cash crops between rows (not too close to mulberry seedlings), interplanting crops can be carried out at the same time of sowing, or appropriately in advance, so as not to affect mulberry growth.

3. Management: Pay attention to watering at the seedling stage after sowing, timely weeding, fertilization and pest control. After interplanting crops are harvested, timely fertilization can be used to raise silkworms soon. In order to raise trees, do not cut in summer that year, cut about 1.5 feet above the ground in winter, according to 6000-7000 plants per mu (row spacing 2.1-2.4 feet, plant spacing 4-5 inches), keep enough strong plants, dig up surplus seedlings for sale or self-planting, and re-apply winter fertilizer.
