Citrus is a light-loving plant, but if the sun is too strong, it will have poor growth and development. The annual average temperature suitable for growth is more than 15 ℃, and the optimum growth temperature is 23 ℃ to 29 ℃. If the growth stops when it exceeds 35 ℃, it will be damaged by freezing at-2 ℃. Measures should be taken to protect the citrus fruit trees which are seriously affected by freezing.

Cultivate soil to increase temperature

Soil cultivation to protect the root neck, the standard of soil cultivation is that the root system is not exposed and cover the root neck, at the same time, strengthen ploughing and loosening the soil, increase the application of fertilizer, prevent waterlogging, drought and pest control, restore the tree potential as soon as possible, and pay attention to the prevention and control of gum disease after freezing.

White and bandaged branches

The trunk and main branch are the skeleton of the tree, which is easy to be damaged by freezing, which leads to the weakening of the tree potential, the cracking of the cortex and the death of the whole plant. The whitening agent is usually prepared with 10 jin of lime, 1 jin of sulfur powder, 0.2 jin of salt, a little edible oil and 30 jin of water. The main trunk is bandaged with straw or coated with mud, the anti-freezing effect is better, when bandaging, pay attention to the grass head to press the grass tail and tie it tightly, so as not to freeze the stagnant water in the grass.

Smoke

It is mainly to prevent the thick frost after freezing, which can reduce the radiation heat and reduce the frost. Smoking materials can be used locally, such as weeds, branches and leaves, 4-6 piles per mu. Frost generally occurs in the early hours of the morning and should be ignited to produce smoke before the critical temperature of frost injury.

Spray steam inhibition and heat preservation agent

The heat preservation agent can form a molecular film on the leaf surface, inhibit water evaporation, reduce the water loss of leaf cells, and have the effect of anti-freezing.
