After all, things like durian, which are often eaten, can be said to be familiar in our daily life, so the following editor will tell you the relevant information about the distribution of durian origin.

Distribution of durian producing area

Durian originated in Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia, and some people think it originated in the Philippines. Durian grows all over Southeast Asia, mainly in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and other places. Other places where durian is grown include Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Florida, Hawaii, Papua New Guinea, Polynesia, Madagascar, northern Australia and Singapore.

Durian is cultivated in Hainan, Guangdong, China.

Environment of durian producing area

Durian is a pure tropical crop. The daily average temperature of durian is above 22 ℃. Frost-free areas can be planted, and parts of China's Hainan and Yunnan provinces can be developed.

Because durian needs high temperature all the year round to grow and bear fruit, durian can not be planted or can not bear fruit even in equatorial areas, above 600m above sea level, because of the drop in temperature.

Classification of durian species

There are 200 varieties of durian in Thailand, but 60 to 80 are widely cultivated. Among them, three are the most famous: light species: Yiluan, Jiaolentong, Chunfu Shi, Golden Pillow and Channi, which bear fruit four or five years later; medium species: long stalk and Valley, bearing fruit in six to eight years; and heavy species: Ganbang and Ina, bearing fruit in eight years. They bear fruit once a year, with a difference in maturity of one or two months, among which people are more familiar with:

1. "Golden pillow", (Mengtong), is a very popular one. The flesh is rich and sweet, and the flesh is golden. Often one of them is relatively large, called "main meat". Because the smell is not too strong, it is very suitable for beginners to eat this smelly and fragrant fruit. Gold pillows can be eaten all the year round, but prices vary with the seasons, and they are the cheapest and most delicious in peak season.

2. "Qingni", with small leaves, more meat and small nucleus is more popular, the price is cheaper than the head, and the flesh is dark yellow.

3. Long stalk: because the stalk of this kind of durian is longer than other varieties, the stalk of this variety is long and round, the whole durian is mainly round, the pulp and kernel are also round, the skin is green, the thorns are many and dense, the core is large, and the pulp is less but delicate and rich.

4. Gu Night set: the meat is particularly delicate, it is as sweet as honey, and the small nuclear tip is welcomed by "diners". It is the most expensive kind of durian. Thailand durian has a wide range of producing areas, from the central warm Wuli Prefecture to the Ministry of Movement Luo Yong Fu, the durian of Bazhenwuri Prefecture has won the championship. Durian in southern Thailand is inferior to that in central and eastern Thailand, with large nucleus and small meat, but because it matures later, it takes "scarcity is expensive" after the peak season of other durian.
