EPD announces specification standard of environmental protection badge for "footwear products"
The EPD recently announced that the standards for footwear products are applicable to products that comply with CNS 3478 plastic shoes, CNS 8632 cloth shoes, CNS 8634 leather casual shoes, CNS 8635 rubber sports shoes, CNS 9754 rubber shoes and CNS 10632 leather shoes.
After assessing the environmental factors and health considerations in the process of raw material acquisition, manufacture, use and disposal, and referring to the environmental protection label standards of South Korea, the European Union and Japan, the key points of control include the content of heavy metals in products. Dimethyl fumarate and pentachlorophenol in leather shoes and leather casual shoes, total polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and benzo [a] pyrene in plastic shoes Products and processes are not allowed to use toxic chemicals and substances controlled by the Montreal Protocol, materials used in footwear such as textiles, leather, artificial leather formaldehyde, organotin compounds, azo dyes and phthalates, halogenated solvents using adhesives, halogenated plastics are not allowed to be used in plastic materials, and environmental protection packaging materials are regulated.
If the manufacturer's products comply with the provisions of this standard, upon voluntary application, those who have obtained the certificate of use of the environmental protection seal may mark the environmental protection seal on the product or packaging, so as to provide a reference for the public, government agencies and private enterprises to choose and purchase environmental protection products.
