Matters needing attention for deworming of pigs

1. Selected anthelmintic drugs include levomidol, trichlorfon, thiazine hydrochloride, piperazine, nitrothiophenol and thiobichlorophenol, cystosporone, pyrimidine and sulfonamides, and so on. No matter what kind of drug is chosen, it is best to replace another one after a period of time, so as not to produce drug resistance and affect the deworming effect.

2. To grasp the appropriate time to disinfect pigs, we should not only prescribe the right medicine to the case, but also pay attention to the time of administration. Too early administration can not achieve the deworming effect, too late will affect the development of pigs, the formation of stiff pigs. The deworming time should be determined according to the species, development and season of the insect. Under normal circumstances, it is best to disinfect a pig for the first time when the pig weighs about 30 kilograms, so that it can kill several kinds of insects with one arrow.

3. Before feeding the insect repellent properly, stop the pig from feeding. Mix the medicine with the feed at 7: 8 p.m. and let the pig finish at once. If the pig does not eat, a small amount of salt water or saccharin can be added to the feed to enhance palatability.

4. After fully disinfecting and deworming the pig pen, clean up the feces in time, accumulate and ferment or burn or bury them deeply; the floor, walls and feeding trough are disinfected with 5% lime water to prevent the excreted worm bodies and eggs from being re-infected by pigs.

5. Carefully observe the effect of deworming if the pig has symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea, you should immediately drive the pig out of the pen and let it move freely to alleviate poisoning; in serious cases, let it drink half-cooked mung beans and soup; for thinners, take 50 grams of charcoal or pot ash, mix them into the feed and take them for 2 to 3 days. If the deworming effect is not good, you can use Chinese herbal medicine to make the gentleman, 10 kilograms of 15 kilograms of pigs can be fed with 5 grams of medicine at a time. 20-40 kg pigs are fed with 10-20 tablets each time. At the same time, raw pumpkin seeds are mixed into paste and mixed with a small amount of feed to feed pigs twice, 2 grams per kilogram body weight.
