Healthy pigeons are energetic, flexible and alert, with bright eyes, no tears and eye droppings. The sick pigeon is lethargic, slow to respond, lives alone, shrinks its head and bow its back, listlessness, eyes are absent, eyes are closed and sleepy, and some eyelids are swollen and inflamed, with secretions.

Appetite and drinking water

Healthy pigeons have a strong appetite (rush for food), food intake and drinking water are normal. It is found that dieting, not eating, increasing desire to drink or not feeding young pigeons are mostly signs of disease.

Walk on both wings

Healthy pigeons walk smoothly, have powerful wings, fly and fall from time to time, and are difficult to catch when catching pigeons with their hands. Sick pigeons are physically weak, easy to catch, poor in evasion, and often droop their heads.

Feather luster

Healthy pigeon feathers are plump, neat, shiny and rich in lipids. The feathers of the diseased pigeons were dim, dull, loose and abnormal, and the new feathers grew slowly during the non-molting period.

Nasal tumor oral cavity

Healthy pigeon nose tumor is clean and elastic, adult pigeon nose tumor is bright white, young pigeon is flesh color, child pigeon gradually changes from flesh color to white, nostril lubrication, slightly moist, mouth lubrication clean, odorless, no dirt. The nose dirt of diseased pigeons is moist, white decreases, the color is dim, swollen, inelastic, the hands feel cold, mucous and purulent nose flow from time to time, etc., most of them are morbid; the crop is swollen and firm, or soft and fluctuating, a large amount of sour liquid flows out of the mouth during inversion, vomiting after eating, mucus from the mouth, yawning from time to time, and so on.
