First, energy: all the physiological processes of geese need energy to drive. The main sources of energy are carbohydrates and fats, and proteins also decompose to produce heat when they are in excess. Fat is not only the composition of lipids in goose tissues and cells, but also the carrier of fat-soluble vitamins. However, fat is an alternative nutrient, which can be transformed from carbohydrates or protein, and the added fat is more difficult to digest, so it is generally not necessary to add fat in the feed, and nutritional needs can also be ignored.

Protein: protein is not only an important component of goose body and goose products, but also one of the main raw materials of enzymes and hormones, which is related to the whole metabolism and can not be replaced by other nutrients. it is a necessary nutrient for life maintenance and production.

Minerals: minerals play an important role in the life activities of the body. According to the different contents of various minerals in animals, they are divided into major elements and trace elements. For geese, in the case of adequate supply of grazing or green fodder, except for calcium, phosphorus, chlorine and sodium, other elements can generally meet the needs and do not need additional supplement; in the shed feeding period, other elements should be properly supplemented.

IV. Vitamins: vitamins are substances with little content in feed and have special effects. Vitamins are important substances to ensure the normal operation of various physiological functions. Green feed is the main source of vitamins.

Fifth, moisture: water is not only an important component of goose body, but also the main factor of all physiological activities. Water is the solvent that enters the goose, participates in metabolism and transport of nutrients or decomposition products, buffers sudden changes in body fluids and helps regulate body temperature.
