The emergence of wheat seedlings is often uneven due to various reasons in wheat production. In production, there are no seedlings with a length of 10 cm in the wheat row and no seedlings with a length of 16 cm. There are many reasons for lack of seedlings and broken ridges, such as extensive tillage, bumpy, yellow soil moisture, insufficient soil moisture, different sowing depth, missing sowing and jumping sowing, low emergence rate of poor seed quality, harm of underground pests, improper treatment of seeds or soil, excessive salt content in soil, and so on. If measures are not taken in time for the wheat field which is short of seedlings and broken ridges, it will not only waste land, but also have a great impact on the yield. The general remedial measures taken are:

Check seedling replanting: 3-5 days after emergence, soak the seeds of the same variety in 20 ℃ warm water for 3-5 hours, and keep them moist after being fished out. When the seeds begin to germinate, use a small hoe or trench opener to make up the seeds, water a small amount along the ditch when moisture difference occurs, and cover the soil firmly after planting.

Seedling thinning and transplanting: for the area where there is still lack of seedlings in the tillering stage, you can thinning seedlings on the spot, transplanting while transplanting, getting weak and staying strong. When transplanting, the depth of soil cover is based on the standard of "no pressure on the top, no whiteness at the bottom". Bear fruit at any time after planting, water in time when lack of moisture, and conditionally apply a small amount of quick-acting fertilizer to facilitate survival and rapid growth.
