First, note that suckling lambs are most likely to die in the first 10 days after birth, which is mostly caused by poor feeding of lambs. Therefore, after the lamb is born, we must make the lamb eat colostrum as soon as possible to enhance its immunity. The lambs were fed 1-2 days after birth, every 1-2 hours. After 3 or 5 days, gradually transition to breast-feeding 3 or 4 times a day. If the ewe is short of milk or dies, it is best to find a babysitter instead. If you can't find a nanny, you can use artificial lactation. Artificial lactation is generally available with fresh milk, milk powder, etc., artificial lactation 7-8 times a day in the previous month.

Second, care and supplementary feeding lambs 7-10 days after birth, supplementary feeding should begin. You can use 1 part of wheat bran, 2 parts of broken bran, and add a small amount of bone meal or salt to stir-fry and feed. The feeding amount should increase with the increase of the lamb's age. Generally, the lamb should be fed 150 to 200 grams per day, divided into three times. In addition, we should also choose high-quality hay, tie it into small handfuls with rope, and hang it up so that the lambs can eat freely.

Ensure drinking water in order to ensure the need for water for the normal growth and development of the lamb, drink enough warm water to the lamb for 2 or 3 times a day.

Fourth, pay attention to keeping warm, clean, dry and well ventilated in the enclosure, because the temperature difference between cold and heat outside the enclosure is too large, or it is humid, which is not only not conducive to the growth and development of lambs, but also cause lamb disease. It is generally required that the temperature in the enclosure should be kept above 0 ℃ and should not be too high. After the lamb is born, if the ewe does not lick the mucus on the lamb in time, it should be cleaned with grass to prevent the lamb from freezing, so as to increase the cold resistance of the lamb.

5. Within 1 week of lambing, ewes should be raised in the enclosure and not grazed. A week later, the ewe can be herded to the enclosure for grazing, and the lamb can be left in the enclosure, and at noon when the weather is fine, the lamb can be driven to the playground to bask in the sun, so as to promote the growth of the lamb, adapt to the external climatic conditions, and enhance its cold resistance and disease resistance.
