1. Cold and warm. Temperature changes have a great impact on laying hens. The most suitable temperature for laying hens is 14~16℃, which cannot be lower than 5℃. If it is lower than 5 ℃, the laying rate of chickens will decrease obviously. If it is lower than 0℃, it will stop laying eggs. Therefore, before winter comes, chicken houses should take cold insulation measures in time, plug tight seam holes, and spread grass on the ground to improve the temperature of the house. Winter cold, chickens do not like activities, to set up activities, and have wind, rain, snow equipment. Chickens before exercise to open the transom, temperature ventilation and then release the chicken. Late release and early harvest when it's cold. Snow on the site should be cleaned up in time.

2. Increase light. Laying hens need 12 to 14 hours of light a day to lay eggs normally. In winter natural light is less than the conditions, in addition to allowing chickens to bask in the sun during the day, to use electric lights for artificial supplementary lighting. Artificial lighting can be carried out in the morning and evening, the light does not need to be too strong, and the number of bulbs depends on the size of the chicken house. If you can use the lampshade spotlight, the effect is better. Turn on the lights regularly, do not interrupt the middle, water and food should be placed under the lights to attract chickens to gather to the lights.

3. Reasonable feeding. Cold winter, chicken body heat consumption is large, every day to feed enough nutrition comprehensive feed, in the feed to ensure a certain amount of animal and plant protein feed, such as fish meal, earthworm powder, silkworm chrysalis, aquatic waste and bean cake, peanut cake, etc., but also feed more vitamin-containing feed, such as carrots, vegetables and silage. You can also add chilli powder to stimulate appetite and enhance cold resistance. Sprinkle some granules on the ground in the morning and evening, let the chickens peck freely, make the chickens run and jump more, so as to enhance the cold resistance, help digestion and absorption.

4. Drinking plenty of water. Loss of water has a great effect on chicken growth and egg production. Laying hens do not drink water within 24 hours, egg production rate decreased by 30%, and it takes 20~30 days to return to normal egg production. Therefore, laying hens should be supplied with water continuously in winter, and it is best to drink warm water. Never let chickens peck ice and drink ice water, snow water, lest chicken body heat, resulting in production. Drinking utensils should be washed, disinfected and kept sanitary frequently. Ren Ji
