I. reasonable selection of types of disinfectants

??? Disinfectants should be selected which are safe to people, animals and the environment, have no residual toxicity, do not damage the equipment and do not produce harmful accumulation in cattle. Available disinfectants are: hypochlorite, organochlorine, organic iodine, peracetic acid, quicklime, sodium hydroxide, potassium permanganate, copper sulfate, bromogeramine, Jiuqing and so on.

Second, establish a long-term disinfection system and measures

1. Environmental disinfection: the environment around the barn, including the sports ground, is disinfected with 2% caustic soda or quicklime once a week; around and in the field, sewage tanks, manure pits and sewer outlets are disinfected with bleach once a month. Set up disinfection pools at the gate and the entrance of the barn, using 2% caustic soda solution.

2. Personnel disinfection: when the staff enters the production area, they should change their clothes and disinfect with ultraviolet rays for 3-5 minutes. Overalls should not be worn out of the field.

3. Barn disinfection: after each shift goes down the trough, the barn should be thoroughly cleaned, washed regularly with a high-pressure water gun, and disinfected by spray and fumigation.

4. Disinfection of appliances: feed utensils, troughs and feed trucks can be disinfected regularly, which can be disinfected with 0.1% bromogeramine or 0.2-0.5% peracetic acid. Daily appliances such as veterinary appliances, midwifery appliances, breeding utensils should be thoroughly disinfected and cleaned before use.

5. Disinfection of cattle environment: regular disinfection of cattle environment is helpful to reduce the pathogenic microorganisms in the environment. The drugs that can be used to disinfect the bovine environment are: 0.1% bromogeramine, 0.3% ethyl peroxide, and 0.1% sodium hypochlorite to reduce the incidence of infectious diseases and hoof diseases. Environmental disinfection of cattle should avoid contamination of disinfectants into feed.

6. Before midwifery, mating, injection treatment and any contact operation on beef cattle, the relevant parts of beef cattle, such as breasts, vaginal orifice and hindquarters, should be disinfected and wiped to ensure the health of beef cattle.

Third, proficient in the following disinfection methods

1. Spray disinfection: use a certain concentration of hypochlorite, peracetic acid, organic iodine mixture, bromogeramine and so on. Spray disinfection with a spray device is mainly used for spraying disinfection after cleaning of the barn, disinfection of the environment with cattle, and vehicles on and around the cattle farm and entering the yard area.

2. Infiltration and disinfection: wash hands, overalls or rubber boots with a certain concentration of bromogeramine and a mixture of organic iodine.

3. Ultraviolet disinfection: the permanent ultraviolet lamp at the entrance of the personnel is irradiated to achieve germicidal effect.
