Harvesting technology of broccoli

Broccoli is different from cauliflower in that the harvest time is very short, only 1-2 days at high temperature. If it is not harvested in time, the buds will be loose and the small buds will show yellow petals, reducing the commercial value. When the bud ball is fully grown, the buds are not loosened, and the whole flower ball remains tight and bright green, it should be harvested in time. The standard of harvest should be set according to the export requirements. After the main flower bud of broccoli is harvested, the fertilizer and water management should be strengthened and the side branch bud should be continued to be harvested. If the main branch bud is to be harvested, the side branch should be removed in time in order to concentrate nutrients for the growth of the main flower head.

After broccoli is harvested, the buds are easily loose at high temperature, exposing yellow petals until they lose water and wither, resulting in the loss of commercial value.
