The slippery fetus of sows has a lot to do with the pregnancy, living environment, feed nutrition and so on. Therefore, if you want to prevent sows from slipping, farmers must take relevant preventive measures.

1. Breeding at the right time. Sows usually begin to ovulate 24 hours after estrus, and it is best to breed when sows change from excited state to quiet state, white filamentous mucus from vagina and hand pressure on the back of sows. In this case, the mortality rate of mating embryos is low and the litter rate of sows is high.

two。 Strengthen the management of sows before conception. From 3 to 14 days before mating, protein feed and energy feed, as well as minerals and vitamins were added to make the sows enter the best state of mating quickly; for thinner sows, nutrition should be strengthened for a long time before mating, so as to restore their physical strength as far as possible, so as to facilitate mating, conception, fetal preservation, and improve the litter rate.

3. Pay attention to feed quality. Do not feed moldy, frozen and other contaminated feed to pregnant sows, otherwise sows are prone to poisoning, causing embryo death in light cases and affecting the life safety of sows. 0.1% Xingchao brand "Mengjing" is added to the feed regularly for 7 days every month, which can effectively inhibit the growth of mold, prevent feed mildew and mycotoxin production, and ensure feed quality.

4. Appropriate activities. The embryo mortality rate of inactive sows during pregnancy is about 0.5% higher than that of regularly exercised sows. Sows should exercise freely, but to prevent sows from falling or bumping into obstacles.

5. Regulate endocrine. One week after mating, each sow was injected with progesterone 30 mg intramuscularly, which could effectively reduce embryo death and prevent sows from slipping.

6. Keep the ambient temperature. In the first week of pregnancy, embryo death increases in sows when the ambient temperature is as high as 30 ℃ ~ 35 ℃ in a short time (24 hours). Similarly, embryo death can also be caused by breeding with heated boars. Therefore, it is best to control the ambient temperature to 15 ℃ ~ 25 ℃.
