There are many cases leading to the disease of rabbits, and diet, environment, hygiene and infection are the main ways. Therefore, in order to prevent the disease of rabbits, we must first start from the basic, and do some things that are usually considered trivial, which can restrain the occurrence of rabbit diseases to a great extent. Rabbits like clean and dirty, and are most disgusted with dampness and noise, so it is best to raise rabbits in a relatively quiet position, and often maintain appropriate temperature and humidity, so that the sun is sufficient, air circulation and so on, so as to create a good living environment for rabbits. In addition, in order to prevent or reduce the disease in rabbits, the following points should be done:

1. The health status of rabbits is closely related to feeding and management. Many people mistakenly think that disease prevention is injections and medicine. In fact, scientific feeding and management is the main means of disease prevention. For example, the reasonable collocation of feed, the effective control of the environment (including temperature, humidity, ventilation, density and light, etc.), feeding should be regular, qualitative, quantitative and so on. Only when the feeding and management work is done well, the physique of the rabbit is strong, the disease resistance can be enhanced, and it has good living habits, which is also of great help to the improvement of the rabbit physique.

two。 In the selection and purchase of rabbits, we should pay attention to the health status of rabbits, for mental health is not good, and eyes, buttocks and other positions have foreign bodies, dirty rabbits are not recommended.

3. At ordinary times, we must pay attention to doing a good job of hygiene and cleaning, and regularly disinfect breeding utensils, cages, production boxes and so on, which is an effective measure to reduce environmental pathogens. Schedule a disinfection cycle, which is of great help to disease prevention, but it is not recommended too often. In addition, daily washing of food bowls and drinking fountains, disinfection once a week; daily cleaning of feces and mat grass; disinfection of rabbit cages once a week in summer, as appropriate in winter; and disinfection of rabbit cages before each delivery and transfer.

4. Vaccination is carried out according to the immunization procedure. For some severe infectious diseases, such as rabbit plague, Clostridium welchii, brucellosis and so on, the most effective method is to vaccinate the vaccine in advance. For other diseases of rabbits, such as coccidiosis, scabies, pasteurellosis, enteritis, mastitis, etc., according to the occurrence law, timely administration has obvious epidemic prevention effect.

5. For rabbits with uncertain health status, do not raise them with healthy rabbits to prevent the spread of disease. We should persist in self-breeding and obtain healthy rabbits through the following ways: selecting excellent individuals for breeding rabbits, repeatedly quarantine, eliminating diseased rabbits and infected rabbits, and gradually achieving relative disease-free; deworming repeatedly to achieve basic insect-free; strengthen general preventive measures to strictly control the invasion of any source of infection.
