Measure one: prevent the cold and keep warm. The livestock and poultry enclosure must be able to protect against the severe cold, and the enclosure should be overhauled frequently in winter to ensure that there is no rain and snow on the top, no wind tunnel on the four walls, paving grass on the ground, hanging door and window curtains and other cold protection measures in place.

Measure 2: do a good job in hygiene. The enclosure should be cleaned frequently, the grass pad should be replaced frequently, and the sewage and feces should be removed early. The removed mat grass and feces should be accumulated at a fixed point or in the septic tank and disinfected by biological heat fermentation to keep the enclosure clean, fresh, dry and comfortable.

Measure 3: raise carefully. Adding some formula feed with high energy and comprehensive nutrition, such as corn, grain and wheat, can make livestock and poultry fat and enhance disease resistance. Drinking water should be clean, warm water or well water, to ensure that livestock and poultry eat and drink well, to avoid hunger at night. Cattle and sheep should seize the opportunity of freezing without rain and snow and graze on the windward and sunny grassy slopes. Do not rest at noon, grazing comes out late and returns early. We should try to get to the leeward places such as beaches and dams where the microclimate is relatively warm to bask in the sun and do more activities.

Measure 4: strict disinfection. Regular disinfection of enclosures should be carried out on a regular basis, and professional households (farms) should set up disinfection pools or mattresses to disinfect carpets at the entrances and exits of gates and passageways for people and animals. Disinfectant and disinfectant carpets should be changed frequently to ensure freshness and effectiveness. Usually, if there are outsiders in and out, vehicles in and out, strict disinfection measures must be taken.

Measure 5: strengthen immune prevention. In the process of immunization, strict requirements and procedures must be followed, registration and filing must be done, immune ear labels must be worn, and the immune density of livestock and poultry must be 100%.
