It is an important link for chicken farmers and farmers and technicians to master the health status of chickens to ensure the benefit of raising chickens. Mastering this technology requires some basic knowledge of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, and samples should be taken regularly for physiological and biochemical determination. Through the summary of experience and careful observation and judgment in production, we can use one sentence to point out the core of mastering chicken flock health technology: looking at feces in the morning, listening to voices at night, and checking the whole flock during the day.

1. Look at the shape of the feces early: the feces are fine and dry, indicating insufficient drinking water; if there are sticky, soft or undigested feed particles, it means that the intestines have inflammation and indigestion. Look at the color: if there is yellow or white mucus in dilute feces, it means you are suffering from ventilation, colibacillosis or avian typhoid; if there are green feces in dilute faeces, you are suffering from avian influenza or Newcastle disease or cholera. If the excretion of sulfur-like feces, indicating that chickens suffer from tissue trichomoniasis; if the excretion of feces with blood or tomato-like feces, indicating that chickens have coccidiosis or hemorrhagic enteritis and so on.

2. Listen to breathing at night: if you hear nose flick, hey, snore, cough or scream, it shows that there are respiratory infectious diseases in the flock. Listen to the sound of defecation: if you hear the sound of soft feces, it means that some chickens in the flock may have digestive diseases; if you hear the sound of water channeling, it means that the kidneys of chickens are enlarged and water metabolism is impaired.

3. Check the whole group at ordinary times: after entering the chicken house, you can gently knock on the audible objects such as iron buckets or iron pots, and suddenly make an appropriate sound. At this time, we should pay attention to observe whether there are any chickens in the flock who do not respond to the sound and are still sleepy, and then look at the proportion of chickens that are unresponsive or slow to respond, so that we can roughly understand the disease situation of the flock. Individual examination: refers to the detailed examination of diseased chickens, such as body temperature, eye conjunctiva, oral cavity, cloacal cavity, etc. When it is found that there are dead chickens and they cannot make a correct diagnosis, they should be immediately sent to the veterinary professional department for diagnosis and then take correct measures to avoid minor diseases and serious diseases.
