First, taboo. Hello.

Soybean meal contains some undesirable substances, such as antitrypsin, goiter-producing substances, diosgenin and hemagglutinin, etc. The presence of antitrypsin decreased the digestion and absorption of protein in the small intestine and easily caused diarrhea, especially in calves. Long-term feeding of raw soybean meal will also cause pathological enlargement and goiter of the pancreas and disorder of metabolism in cattle. The above-mentioned undesirable substances will lose their effect after proper heat treatment such as heating to 110 ℃ for 3 minutes. But the heat treatment should be appropriate, overheating will denature the protein of soybean meal and reduce its nutritional value.

Second, taboo granules are too large or too small.

If the grain is too small, it will produce a large amount of ammonia in the rumen of cattle, resulting in protein loss, and in serious cases, it will lead to ammonia poisoning in cattle; too large grains will make their digestion incomplete, thus reducing their feeding value. Generally speaking, it is appropriate to process soybean meal with a particle size of 0.9 mm to 2.5 mm in diameter (sieve 8 to 20 mesh).

Avoid mixing with urea.

Raw soybean meal contains urease, which can decompose urea to produce ammonia and carbon dioxide, so raw soybean meal can not be mixed with urea.
